Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
just 5 minutes walk to Chajmes - a great place to choose from a big variety of cuisines. Live music is fantastic!

Slightly above average
$26 Sing dollars a day for slow internet connection is an absolute rip-off. The mattresses were really hard. The location is great, and everything else is good about this hotel!

First time - great experience
Value was great. Access to new MRT Cicle line was great. Hospitality was excellent. Some renovations going on, so some issues with taxis finding the correct entrance. Negative: standard problem in singapore, internet charges are absurd.

Great Save from a disaster
What a difference from the horrible experience of a 3 star hotel known as Value Hotel Nice. I almost left Singapore. This hotel saved me by providing nice, clean, comfortable accommodation at an exceptionally convenient location. The only drawback is no free Internet access.

Really enjoyed the stay at the
Really enjoyed the stay at the hotel staff were allways pleasant and informative the rooom was very clean and the bed was quite firm but very comfortable. Renovations being carried out during the day but can honestly say it didn't affect us apart from only 1 lift accessable from the lobby but 2 more from the 1st floor with a large stairway between. The location made it very easy to access the MRT and Taxis always available outside. The Breakfast in the Straits cafe was good but a little bit expensive at s$35 per head. One of our party celebrated a birthday during our stay and the hotel staff sent a birthday cake and card from all the staff at the hotel which was very well received.

Location was very convenient;
Location was very convenient; staff friendly and helpful. Renovations were being done, so great care taken that we weren't too upset about it all! I suspect the good value for money was to compensate for the renovation mess.

We stayed here on a 2-night stopover
We stayed here on a 2-night stopover in Singapore. The room was really lovely, clean and spacious and complete with an I-pod docking station! In general the service was great but the service in the restaurant was only average and a couple of the wait staff had only very limited English. The hotel is undergoing renovations at the moment so unfortunately it means their pool is out of action - you can get access to the YMCA pool nearby but it's not quite the same :( Also meant there was some noise from drilling during the day which was a bit annoying when we were in the room during the day.
