Great location for shopping n eating in Chinatown

8 nights of quiet room without window. Great for sleeping. Lots of restaurants around the hotel, both western and Chinese cuisines, Rm 312 had a water leak from the roof on the last night of our stay, due to heavy rain in the middle of the night and early morning. had to put the plastic covered trash bin to catch the drips. Non bz side street, one block away from the main street, lots of taxis. Location location location. The only minus was they ran out of coffee packs on the 3rd day. We asked for it, but was told the owner is not providing it. Wonder why ?????

One of the oldest store and fluffy crusted Chinese custard egg tarts in S'pore---- on the main street, I believe on North Bridge Rd. Love their coconut custard egg tarts

Quaint Room - Great Value

First stay at the Naumi Liora, chose the "quaint room" mostly for the cost. It was small, but very functional. Overall, htel is in a great location with easy access to several SMRT lines, nice staff, short walk to tons of different restaurants, ... All in all, very enjoyable. Looked at the other higher end rooms, definitely will pick one of those next time! Headed back in 60 days!

Great value, hidden gem

This hotel is a great value/hidden gem. Many of the locals have never heard of this hotel, but don't let that fool you. Stayed about 1 week, averaging about 112 SGD per day in early July. It is a decent/comfortable hotel at a price much more affordable than its peers. There was nothing in this price class. Anything cheaper were real dumps, and everything else was usually at least 50 day more. The Saff is located in Chinatown which is not the usual location tour buses and shuttles are accustomed to going, so you are often the last point for drop off, but Chinatown is actually very centrally located in the Mass Transit subway system (MRT). The closest subway station (Outram) is one of junctions so it is very convenient to move around Singapore. After my first day, I learned the subway system and it was my sole method of transportation including how I left for the airport. (Though you should be prepared for 5-10 minute walks to the subway station in hot and humid weather.) The rooms are kind of small, but I was usually exploring the city so I just needed a place to sleep/shower. I had a single room with no windows which was fine. The rooms were very pretty/decorative and the lack of windows actually helped reduce my jet lag. The rooms were very well air conditioned as well. The room had a safe and a coffee/tea/water pot. There were bags of tea and coffee you could make. There were 4 electrical outlets in the bedroom, two of which were the universal kind so you could plug in any type of prong so you didn't have to buy an adaptor (assuming your device could handle the voltage). Some people were warning that the rooms were noisy due to loud establishments next door and the street. I was in room 109 which is in the back corner in the inner part of the hotel on the first floor. This was a perfect location as it was away from the street and the live music bar is on the opposite side of the hotel near the front desk. The only noise problem I had was housekeeping which seemed to start at about 8am and the vacuum cleaners might wake me if I wanted to sleep in. The hotel was not without problems though, but the staff tried their best to fix things. My fridge wasn't working so it finally got replaced on my 3rd day. The hot water didn't last very long for me at first. I talked to another guest who complained it didn't work at all. After we alerted the staff, the hot water problem seemed to improve for me, though I don't know if it was coincidence or not. Also, one wake up call I requested was about 10-15 minutes late. The hotel does not provide breakfast or have amenities like a kitchen, gym, or laundry room. Outgoing local calls are somewhere between 5-20 cents per minute. But the hotel provides free Wi-Fi which was a real plus for me. There is also a computer available. They also provided two water bottles per day. Overall, I was very happy with the hotel and would stay there again for the price.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

There is a large shopping complex near the subway station in the other direction (Chinatown) which is down the street from the hotel. This complex has a really good Hawker Center with lots of vendors and the food is generally really inexpensive. The walk is 5-10 minutes. In the basement in the mornings, there is a wet market.

Beautiful small hotel

Great little hotel with beautiful decor in the centre of China town & very close to the MTR so its the perfect location to explore Singapore. [...]the hotel staff were great & put us in a deluxe room with no window for the first night & moved us the second night to one that had a window & we were happy again. I would definitely recommend staying here.
