Hotel81 Bencoolen is the biggest of all the 34 branches of Hotel 81 chain of budget priced but quality assured hotel. Hotel 81 is the only budget hotel chain in Singapore that has attained ISO 9001:2000 certification. Located just a few minutes walk away from Orchard Road, Singapore's famous shopping belt. The Dhoby Ghaut MRT station is just round the corner. Train - Dhoby Ghuat MRT Station is 10 minutes away on foot. Bus - 64, 65, 131, 147, 166, 857 Taxi - Flag down along Bencoolen Street or approach the staff.

Excellent location to central

Excellent location to central Singapore and reasonable price given Singapore hotel prices. Wireless internet included. Quite basic room but no problem for a short stay. Food court and 7 Eleven across the street. Close to MRT. Only problem was the bottom sheet on the bed was too short and it was skin against plastic for my feet. Review by Australian living in Jakarta.

I just took the weekend off and checked in. Great location - food, cafes, pubs and convenience shop just around the corner. Museums, a shopping mall and a late-night cinema is within walking distance too. I'd check in again anytime...

Very good location. Just few step

Very good location. Just few step to 7/11 , 24 Hrs Restaurant & MRT. This hotel is non smoking in hotel so it is clean air in room. Aircondition is well done , hot water is very good . But not expected to much about service .

12 days in bali hai

the hotel was adequate no pool no spa limited hot water no fridge in lowwer floors room had to change room to 12 from 7 to get fridge working dvd player and towels clean roon good ac very good staff would have been great if there was a pool or spa

This hotel was nasty. [*] Our room smelled awful (like urine) and there were hairs in the bed. We couldn't wait to check out. Better options exist for similar budgets. Do your research and look for new hotels in the Bughis or Lavender areas.

The rooms are small-the bathroom

The rooms are small-the bathroom even smaller which can cause water to overflow the floor. It is generally clean but the bed linen was not that clean on my arrival. I do not recommend this for family with children. But the location is quite good, it is 5 mins. to bus stop and 10 mins walk to nearest train station. The staff service is good and helpful, although, on my last day i was annoyed that they did not inform me of the check-out time which caused me to pay an extra night for late check-out. I think this Hotel is overprice for its standard.

Have stayed there 4 times for

Have stayed there 4 times for 2 week periods,A busy but friendly Hotel .With 2 good food halls with in 3 mins walk open 24/7.
