A short night...

Although I was only there for 8 hours total, the hotel was definitely a step above the rooms within the Changi airport. It was conveniently located in Terminal 3 and very comfortable accommodation!

great hotel for in transit travellers

I found on arrival the staff on reception very friendly and most helpful which continued thoughout my stay at the plaza. I also found my room very clean althou I found the décor a little strange for a hotel room [i.e.the patten on the wall paper far to big for the size of the room]but that aside my stay was very enjoyable

Just a quick convienent departure hotel

Having stayed at a few hotels whilst in Singapore I found this one to be the lowest of the standards compared to the other hotels. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza because we had an early flight the next morning. Unfortunately the room given was over looking the runway and sound proofing was not great, so constantly we heard aircraft taking off and landing most of the night. Also due to heavy rain and lack of guttering, we had a constant dripping outside our window until the early hours of the morning. The room was reasonable, but the AC needs to be addressed as you could only control the temp by either having it cold or off. There was no free WiFi internet available and when I inquired about it was told that I had to pay extra for internet and that it did not come with my room rate. The hotel restaurant was quite expensive so we ate over at the airport, which was much better value and choice for money. Access to the airport during the day could be achieved from either level one or level two, but level two access was closed off during the night and early morning, which meant we had to go down to level one then back up to level two in the airport (the whole idea of an airport hotel is for easy access and convenience). Front desk staff could be a bit more professional and courteous. In general, I would only recommend this hotel as a quick and last resort. We had better value for money at the Village Hotel in Changi, only a S$ 20 ride away.

Great Location - Quality Rooms....BUT.....

This is my second visit to this hotel and I have to mark it down a star from my first assessment. Having spent nearly £200 on a family room I mistakenly thought this included breakfast. It did not and I was asked to pay a further £70 at the hotel for a family of 2 adults and 2 young children for a breakfast. I refused and had a brilliant cheap breakfast in Terminal 3 Food court instead. The ultimate insult to injury was the fact that the Hotel still charges additional high charges to use WiFi. This should be free at the rates charged. The hotel clearly does not listen to feedback. Lovely though.

Great way to spend time between flights

Quick check in and check out is a real plus. Location on the terminal three makes it a very quick way to get to your plane. Stopping for a quick glass of wine before bedtime was nice in the bar at the hotel. I just wish the hotel was less expensive since I usually only get to spend 5 to 6 hours between flights.

Convenient for short stay

This hotel has very comfortable beds and a large, airy, lavish bathroom. The main feature is the location which is right at the airport (Terminal 3), yet not at all noisy. This meant that we could easily check-in baggage (Singapore Airlines) the day before we left, so we didn't have to get up as early and were able to enjoy a more leisurely breakfast. Another advantage of the location is that the train (MRT) station is also right inside the airport (Terminal 3) and could be accessed without hitting the outdoor heat. The third advantage of the location is that there is a terrific Kopitiam (food court) at Terminal 3 with great local cuisine. There was also a supermarket , chemist and other shops handy.

A short train ride takes you to the shopping mall at Tampines which is where the locals shop (we used the 2 day tourist transport pass)

Our third visit to Crowne Plaza Changi

Oh how sad that this once prize hotel has sunk so low. It rests on its laurels from years ago, but sadly the tree has died. No longer the friendly place to rest on a long journey, and the local shops have nothing over London, Sydney or Hong Kong.

Great for Jet Lagged Tourists

While the room was excellent we were disappointed that neither breakfast nor free wi-fi were included for this price.
