No WIFI at all!

There is no wifi in the rooms not even for charge. Only in the lobby so would see the only three sofas that are in the lobby at all the times full of people ofçn there phones. Incredible that in the 21st century in such a modern city there is no internet. Specially when your website advertise it as free wifi .

Classy but Unfriendly Hotel.

i did business while at teh hotel But the service is much left to be desired. The room service, house keeping all very lethorgic and unfriendly. The bath room design in Premier wing is quite bad and the bath room is all wet without any proper floor design. This is very bad indeed for a hotel o f this profile.

Good location.

I was surprised that there was no free internet in my room & when I tried to use it free in the foyer it would not work properly. The hotel staff were all very helpful. The Carlton is in a good location for both shopping & sightseeing although it's best to do one thing in a day as the shops & water front were in opposite directions so could be very tiring if walking.

Singapore Business trip

The staff was very very friendly and helpful in a bad situation - the lobby area was undergoing renovation. Noisy during the day.

Carlton

Nice location with friendly service but room charge matched a five star hotel and not three star which this would qualify (rooms were worn out, etc.).

Nice, but not worth the inflated price

We had a basic room, which was as its name suggests, was basically nice. Slightly outdated and the bathroom was very outdated as we apparently stayed in the older part, however the prices were very much inflated, [...]. We could have stayed in the Pan Pacific for USD $20 more a night. The tv was old and small and had a limited number of English channels and the sound wasn't that great. We did like that it wasn't on the main strip of Orchard Road, so it was less crowded and noisy, but still within walking distance of the Orchard Road shops. We made the trek several times a day. Also, food near the hotel (but not inside its own restaurants) was cheaper than places down on Orchard Road. The hotel is also within walking distance to the Flyer, Chinatown, and the Burgis area. I would stay there again as I'm not really that ritzy of a person to begin with, but I would definitely try to find it cheaper as I don't think overall it was worth what we paid, especially as no meals were included. The staff was very nice and helpful though and never seemed to expect tips, which was refreshing.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Avoid Sentosa Island, at least until later in 2010 when Universal Studios opens and then maybe it will be worth going. It was one of the main reasons for our trip to Singapore and we were massively disappointed, especially as the main draw, the Pink Dolphins, weren't even doing their show. The Zoo was by far the best place we visted.

Great location but not worth the money

We were there late Aug 2014 and pool was closed and staff didn't feel too sorry about that, simply stated that this info is on their webpage - not something you would expect from a Carlton. WIFI free in lobby but you need to pay to get it in room. Bathroom wasn't mint clean when we arrived but later they cleaned it properly. Location however was great.

Great location, but no wifi

Hotel is in a great location! Easy access to raffles hotel, shopping, metro station. However, beware of false advertising! There is wifi in the lobby only- not inside rooms, as stated on several sites. Good thing I was there for work and had a laptop to connect in the rooms, but light travelers take note. Continental breakfast was great- friendly service, lots of fresh fruit!
