Overview

Housed in restored shophouses along South Bridge Road, Project Chinatown 2 is within close proximity to a number of buildings with historical and cultural significance. In the 1800s, South Bridge Road, was a major road-link between downtown of Singapore and the harbour and was one of the thriving centres with assorted wholesale and retail traders set up shops here.

Project Chinatown 2 is located directly opposite Sri Mariamman Temple, Singapore's oldest Hindu temple. Explore the unique architecture of the surrounding and historical past of the area.

Located just behind Project Chinatown 2, is Club Street and Ann Siang Hill. A hidden enclave away from the hustle and bustle of city's life, the area is populated with pubs and restaurants, making it a popular hangout spot for executives working in the Central Business District (CBD). Project Chinatown 2 is also within walking distance to the lively Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, and downtown Singapore.

Project Chinatown 2 is conveniently situated between two MRT stations, Telok Ayer (DT18) and Chinatown (DT19/NE4). For your convenience, Singapore tourist attractions tickets can be purchased from our frontdesk staff at discounted prices.

The shophouse, with its five-foot-wide walkway, embodies both an appreciation for the Southeast Asian climate as well as the desire to enable and encourage community spirit through daily close interaction.

5footway.inn is for the social explorers, we believe that interaction with people is an important part of travel experience and we encourage explorations through the eyes of a local. To continue our success story, in 2013, 5footway.inn opened its first boutique hotel in Macau, which has been very popular as we stay committed to offer engaging and personable hospitality.

Part of The Uncharted Co., 5footway.inn was started in September 2011 and is now the biggest hostel chain in Singapore with properties located in the heritage-rich Chinatown, Boat Quay and Kampong Glam vicinity.
