Hotel "Vojvodina" is the oldest hotel in Novi Sad, built in 1854 and located in center of the city. During its 150 years long history it has always been the center of culture, entertainment and political life of the town.
The hotel has 61 rooms with 117 beds. All the rooms are equipped with bathroom and telephones.
Wireless internet is available in the lobby at reception and in rooms.
The restaurant with traditional cuisine has two halls (the big one, seating 120 and the hunter's hall, seating 50 people). We also organize meetings, seminars, celebrations and weddings.
Other facilities include TV room with 15 seats, exchange office, shopping center and parking facility.

Last April I made a reservation in Hotel Vojvodina through a well-known online travel agency for three nights in the middle of May. I grew up in Novi Sad and was aware that the hotel has by far the best location in the city at the central square.
The travel agency confirmed it and I also received a hotel confirmation number from them. However, when I got there they had no evidence of my reservation. In the age of computers they keep their reservations written in pencil by the sole receptions in an old note book. After a longish conversation in Serbian she was able to let me have two nights but not the third.
Here are other problems. The reception is on the second floor (rooms on the second and third) but there is no elevator and the steps are steep with no help from the staff as there is only one person on duty for a fairly large hotel. When I arrived there was no one at the desk. The room was modest but clean; the bathroom rather outdated. Breakfast is served in a restaurant on the ground floor which was mostly empty. You can order coffee or buttermilk but not both, except at an extra charge.
The hotel is in a pedestrian zone and the taxi will drop you off a long block away; it is up to you to carry your luggage to the hotel. Nearest parking is available about a half a mile away.
In my opinion the hotel is OK for domestic guests but I doubt that international travelers would find it acceptable.
