Very Dissatisfied
The staff has never heard of customer service! I will go back to St. Lucia, but will not ever stay at the Coconut Bay Resort! The hotel also has a sticker on the room phones giving you info on how to make calls to the states....they do not disclose how much it costs...do not use it...charge to your room. I have 5 calls for a total of 10 minutes using that method and I was charged $135.00, but when my wife used the hotel she made 3 calls for 10 minutes and was charged $8.00. The food was mediocre at best everywhere except the Italian restaurant...which also happens to be the only place the staff actually seemed to care about the guests.

Stay away from here!
This was a horrible stay for us.First of all the power would go at atleast twice a day, everyday! This was the trip to hell for my husband and I.The rooms were old fashioned and the bed had bugs in it. When we booked our reservation we requested a King bed but we ended up with two Queens instead and when we asked what had happened they simply said they had nothing available. The food was bland at best and to make it worse if you wanted a decent meal past 9pm you were out of luck. They only had a grill open til 1 am but you can only have a burger and fries for so many days in a row. The liquer was extremely watered down and it seemed like the bars were always understaffed so you had to wait a long time to get a drink. Their theme nights were pathetic and all of the activities only accomodated the kids. There was nothing to do at the hotel other than swim in the pools. The website said they had an adult side and a family side but everywhere we went in the adult side was run by kids. We were completly disappointed and fed up with this resort by the 3rd day that we tried to leave and find another resort on the island. The only bright spot of this resort was how friendly the staff was. If you're under 25 stay away from this place, you'll be sitting around after 9pm wondering what to do and irritated.

Will not return
There was not room service or cocktail servers. If you enjoy McDonald's chicken nuggets and cold fries, this is the place for you. If you want an enjoyable all inclusive resort I would recommend Dreams Resort & Spa. However, they do not have a location in St.Lucia.

horrible, horrible, horrible.
My sister and I tried to stay at this hotel this spring - but we had just one catastrophe after another. We originally scheduled our trip for March, but were forced to change it because of flight cancellations. Trying to reschedule it was horrible. First, no one at the resort would answer the phone and we called for several times a day, for nearly a week, before finally getting in contact with someone. At first we were told that we could reschedule our stay for the end of May (by two different employees), but after purchasing our plane tickets (again) we called to confirm the reservation and were told that even though we had a reservation, we wouldn't be able to stay at the hotel because they had accidentally overbooked themselves. The person that I spoke to then went on to say that she didn't even think we had actual reservations (although we had already paid in full). She promised to look into the matter and call us back either that afternoon or the next day, but she didn't ever call us back. After being treated so poorly and put through so much, we decided to just cancel our reservation and try to get a refund. According to the resort policy you can have a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days prior to check-in, but they broke their own policy and charged us for the first night (about $350) even though we called 12 days in advance. After being treated so horribly over the phone, I can only imagine how awful I would have felt if I would have had to deal with this sort of treatment for an entire week. We are so disappointed. We wanted a fun and relaxing trip - not the never-ending reservation hell that we had. At this point I think I need a vacation from this vacation. I would definitely not recommend this hotel - the employees simply don't care.

Relocated to Almond Morgan Bay
Was supposed to stay at Coconut Bay but due to hurricane damage was relocated to Almond Morgan Bay. This was the worst all inclusive I have ever stayed at. The guest services staff was not very helpful. However, the rest of the staff was very pleasant. The cocktails were too sweet and the beer was always warm. The room was equipped with a refridgerator but nothing in it. If you wanted water you would be charged $2.00 per bottle. The food was terrible and the selection was limited. Any beef or lobster dishes cost an additional $20.00 to $25.00. In order to get a light snack in the afternoon you need to walk to the childrens pool area where they did have a small assortment of cookies, cake slices or pie. Room service is only available 6:30pm-9:30pm. Almond Morgan Bay's location is beautiful. The grounds are well kept and though the beach is small it is really nice. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

Highly recommend the Joy Adventure Coastal Cruise which is located at the Almond Morgan Bay. The cruise took you to the Pitons along with a coastal tour, snorkeling and a great home made lunch on the beach. Also if you want to charter a boat [...] will arrange it for you at a very reasonable price.

St. Lucia
I found this hotel to be a 3 star, even though the staff was pleasant and friendly, I did not find the accommodations to be clean. Compared to other hotels this was an older establishment in need of some good sprucing up.

Older Resort needs Improvments
The Coconut Bay Resort was very close to the airport no long rides. The rooms were okay. The first day the safe was not working and we waited 2 hours for them to replace it. The second day the water was out for 16 hours. They were flushing toilets with buckets of water. 3rd was okay. The food was not great. One of the special restaurants was only open one night the whole week. The 4th day the air went out for 24 hours. The pools were very nice and the outside show was nice also. Spa was great.

So-So
The resort was ok. It was not as nice as the pictures. A bit run down. The staff was not friendly. Some were but most acted like they didn't want to be there. The location was beautiful, but far away from things to do. The website was not up to date and prices were more than posted. The food was not that great. Eating times were not conducive to a leasuire vacation. I got food poisoning. The food in the buffet seemed fine the first day or two but then it got old. The same day after day. The two restaurants were not always open. The Italian one was the best, but that isn't saying much. Good service in the Italian, but the Asian one sucked. Food was cold and came out of a can. Service was so unfriendly I actually felt like they spit in my food!
