It consists of multiple-bedroom mansions, as well as spacious apartments. Some have private pools and guests can use fully fitted kitchens to do their own cooking, although there are eateries nearby, too. There are plenty of water-based activities as well as horse riding, hiking and golfing to enjoy, and there are two restaurants and a health spa on-site at Cotton Bay Village.

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and were shocked at the quality of the accommodations. It was in a poor location on the island and the closest town was Rodney Bay. Which the hotel only transports guest 3 days per week through van shuttle. We were originally drawn to the thought of having a private plunge pool and jacuzzi in our Villa. The jacuzzi was broken with parts floating in it and the gentlemen who took us to the room said..."oh yeah...the website is supposed to taken the jacuzzi description off our website because most are broken"...The plunge pool was covered in black grime... Disgusting. And the shower for the pool had broken knobs... Unusable . The toilet in the master suite roared when you flushed so we had to use other bathrooms. The towel rod completely came out of the wall upon picking up the towel after your shower. The most alarming issue is that the rooms had slatted louvres that allowed mosquitos to come into the room.. And the beds had no mosquito netting....WE GOT EATEN ALIVE NIGHTLY... Sleep became impossible!! OFF Perfume nightly how Romantic and still bitten constantly. The interior rooms had no door locks and a 9am wake up occurred with the cleaning lady walking in on us! There are no Do Not Disturb signs... The in room safe would not open...which we prayed that are hidden valuables would not be discovered... Everything you touched was falling apart... The base boards were rotting on the first floor. The piano piano restaurant was only open a couple nights a week...and we felt completely awkward as we were their only dinner guests for the entire evening. The Beach Grill had wait staff that acted like taking care of guests was hugely inconvenient. We went on an outside tour off the resort and our guides commented... You definitely chose the wrong place to stay! The fitness room had several broken cardio machines and temperature was not maintained for guests. You were expected to manually adjust the temp while working out and turn off when done...

Strange use of space

Room was big but not useful. No where to put bags in the bedroom and no windows in bedroom just a wall that opened to the outside with no screen and to the street. Uncomfortable furniture in the living room.

Pleasantly surprised

My husband and I went to St Lucia for a wedding at the nearby all-inclusive mega resort, but prefer to be more independent travelers and didn't want to spend over double per night at the other resort. One recent Orbitz review was good, some others on another well-known travel advice site were not but seemed to be improving recently, in the last year or so after management changes. Once we finally arrived we were pleasantly surprised beginning with [...] at the front desk (who gave us directions by phone on the way there, called us back several times to be sure we were still on track and helped us many other times during the stay as did all of the front desk employees.) We reserved a one bedroom but were given a 2BR on the ground floor near the pool and close to the beach. The village is cozy, more residential and European in feel and design, gated and safe. In fact most of the guests were British with several from Scotland, and a few French and German, mostly families with kids of all ages. No issues with bugs or mosquitos despite rain most days. Nice marble bathrooms although small vanity space and low hot water pressure. Full kitchen fairly well equipped, could have used more tumblers and sharp knives. We cooked brunch most days and ate on our covered patio. Food and service was good at the Beach Club, drinks just ok - no mint on the entire island for mojitos!! Can't go wrong with a Piton, the local beer. Didn't go to the Piano bar/restaurant, spa or use Kids Club. Nice gym. Fast attention to minor issues with safe, AC, hot water and other special service requests, all addressed. Pool area was nice, and generally enough towels at beach and pool but still nice to bring your own just in case. Pool decking is wooden which tends to be louder and vibrate when people walk by. Beach is smaller, Atlantic gray sand, some seaweed and trash past the resort beach as noted in other reviews. Could use more chairs on the beach. Recommend especially for longer vacations of a week or more and for families and those who prefer to be able to cook. Overall a surprisingly good experience.

We had a wonderful time, the only problem was it was too short. the service was impeccable, the rooms immaculately cleaned, prepared, equipped with all necessary items to enjoy the stay, down to the DVD/CD player, and fully equipped kitchen, whether necessary or not! Beautiful beach, well manicured, and the pool perfect for play and lap swimming! Would be happy to return
