St. Kitts Marriott Resort and The Royal Beach Casino

Beautiful resort and amazing staff! The only con I would say is the resort is not on the Caribbean side of the island, but the Caribbean side is only a short walk or taxi ride.

We greatly enjoyed our 7 night stay. Our room had a great view of the beach and good sized balcony. We loved how secluded the resort was and . We ate at every restaurant on the property but liked the Pizza Shack, Cafe Calypso, and La Cucina the best. If you want to relax in a beautiful setting, this is the place to be. The service was not up to par but you're on island time, right?

This Marriott is just celebrating it's 10th year so everything is in great shape. It is a big facility and our room was in the main building which is some distance from the water, but that is like a lot of large resorts, and all of the other rooms were in smaller buildings closer to the water. Kids were welcome. We ate at least once in all of the restaurants except the steakhouse, and they were all very good. The pool was large and sprawling so you could be as public or private as you wanted. The beach was excellent, and easy to walk a long distance off-site for more privacy or exploring. This resort is on the Atlantic side where there is more wind and waves, so the ocean is not as good for the casual swimmer or snorkeler as the Caribbean side tended to be. We were there at the end of the busy season, 2nd week of April, so there were no crowds at anything we did, reservations were easy to get everywhere on the island, no need to get up at 7:00 to secure a chair at the pool. There were no beach vendors at the Marriott which we were glad to see, if you want trinkets they have an art / craft area on the lower level of the hotel. If you want shopping, go in to Basseterre to the cruise ship shopping area where all the duty free stores are located. Remember you are on island time here, even at the Marriott, so if you want it fast, this is not your place. St Kitts is a great island with great local people, but consider your travel style. Because of it's size there are not a thousand things to be entertained by like a Cancun, Jamaica, or even St Maarten. If you want to relax, and can find your own fun and adventures, it's a wonderful place.

The view from the resort and the resort itself were beautiful. The staff left something to be desired. Most of them were not very friendly.

people on island were great everyone working at hotel were great I think you need more staff on the beach to serve the people and a few more huts would be great other wise our everything was great the beach is beautiful grounds are kept wonderful would think in the gym put more machine eliptical you only have 2 and 3 morning could not get on them gym very busy at 8am most machines were filled overall i loved the place food good expensive very good i like the people on island very friendly and try to make you comfprtable love the beach massages also

The hotel was beautifully laid out. The rooms were large and clean although the closet had a distinct musty smell. The bed was very comfortable. The beach was great offering free little sun huts to sit under to get out of the sun. Wake up early to claim your hut as they go quickly and then you are out of luck and have to sit by the pool to get out of the sun. The resort restaurants were OK- but you are better off going off site to one of the many wonderful restaurants on the island. The resort staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome and content. We would definately stay at this hotel again. We had a great time.

Had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Marriott in St. Kitts. Pool and beach are both great - not too crowded and with plenty of beach chairs and shade to go around. Staff extremely friendly. Had read here that staff didn't go around to ask guests if they needed a drink, but we found they came around just the right amount - not too much, not too little. Enjoyed pool activities with friendly, personable staff. Service at the restaurant was a little slow and quite expensive. We ended up eating off the resort quite a bit to save money. Room was nice with US outlets and US TV channels. Found the beach at the marriott to be the best in terms of views and relaxation. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on St. Kitts in the same price range.

Hotel was clean, restaurants were excellent, staff was very friendly & accommodating, not allot to do for children (Tweens) on premises besides pool & beach. Plenty of activities that could be planned through activities desk, which was a great help. Zip line & catamaran excursions are a must! Tough time determining what some considered their service charge, which was included on almost everything. Make sure you make a deal when shopping & getting pics with the Monkeys by locals. All in all, a great trip!

This was our second trip to the Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino. The second trip was just like our first - great room in a lovely location with unbelievably friendly staff. Will will visit again.
