Demidov Bridge

This was my first visit to St. Petersburg. Demidov Hotel fit my needs perfectly. It is close to the downtown and sightseeing ... areas, and is 1 block from the Metro and market area. It is easy to locate, right at the Demidov Bridge. My room was spotless and comfortble, including the toilet and bath. The front desk was polite and helpful, certainly by Russian standards. I would stay at the Demidov again if I ever return to St. Petersburg. There is only one confusing thing. This hotel is located on the 3rd floor of an old building being renovated. The street entrance is a single reinforced steel door that is not clearly marked. This does not look like a hotel from the street. But do not worry about this. The hotel is completely safe, clean and quiet, and I was completely satisfied with my time there.
