Do not stay here
We were visiting Samara for adoption and our agency told us to say here. It was the worst hotel I have ever seen. We just marked it as "This is how Russia is", however when we later traveled to other cities we stayed at places that were a lot nicer. So we asked our interpreter if there were other options since we would be coming back and had one more night at the end of our trip here. She told us about an American chain hotel a block away that was very nice. So we switched to it, when we checked it is was less expensive and the staff spoke very good English. Do not stay at the Azimut for any reason. It is very scary, and does not have a lot of the amenities that are listed here for them. We even had to pay extra for a room with a AC (we were there in the summer). We ran the window unit the whole two days we were there and it only drop the temp two degrees.
