- The Hotel Metropol Restaurant's breathtaking glass ceiling creates a stunning setting that is rich in warmth and historic splendour. Fyodor Shalyapin sang here, Lenin delivered speeches here, and scenes from Dr. Zhivago were modelled on the restaurant. The style of old palace architecture and the refined dishes of Russian cuisine create an atmosphere and harmony that fill the marvelous hall of the Boyarsky Restaurant. Perfect place to stay in Moscow
I want to thank the Metropol staff for helping me get my visa support documents. The location was perfect for visiting Red Square and surrounding sites. The staff was very cordial, helpful and patient. Arrangements for car service back to the airport were made as well as dinner reservations at a great restaurant to enjoy the Russian experience. The hotel is beautiful and food was great. The breakfast buffet was fabulous.

Short walk from hotel
Eat at Godunov's Restaurant. Food is great and there is authentic entertainment. Service is good. Staff is attentive. Great souvenir shopping at the gift shop around the corner from the hotel entrance. Friendly and helpful staff.

worst staff i have ever dealt with. F-
the staff was rude unhelpful unfriendly. even the managers i dealt with were unprofessional and robotic and extremely un-knowledgeable. i also stayed at the ararat hyatt and that was a dream compared to the metropole nightmare
