The Alfa Hotel was built in 1980 in the course of preparation for the Olympic Games in Moscow. Since that time the hotel's infrastructure has considerably improved with new facilities and features: a modern congress centre, saunas, new bars and restaurants, a night club, a casino. The hotel is located in the green area of Izmaylovsky woodland park, not far from Pokrovsky Cathedral, within 15 minutes' drive from Moscow downtown and a short walking distance from Partizanskaya metro station.
