Volleyball and tennis among the leisure activities at Lucia Beach hotel
Serene Lucia Beach is a stroll from Parador Palmas de Lucia, a 34-room hotel that merges colonial with tropical décor. Hand-carved furniture, tile floors and plants enhance the island feel of the rooms, which also sport microwaves, refrigerators and balconies or patios for soaking up the views. Great Family Stay
Rooms were good, pool was great, and breakfast was excellent. We knew of a very private beach nearby and had relatives in the area, so the lack of a beach at the hotel wasn't a problem.

Decent room, decent price
This hotel was a little tricky to find in the dark (I took a late flight) and about 1 1/2 hours away from the San Juan airport. Everything that you'd go to puerto rico for (the rain forest, snorkeling, kayaking the bay, the night life) is about an hours drive away; up the toll road highway. Very nice room. There is not much to do in Yabucoa especially if you don't speak spanish. But it would be a great place for a quiet get away. Very quiet and peaceful. If your going to Puerto Rico and your 18+ and single, stay up around Isla Verde, San Juan or Fajardo. You will have much more fun with much less driving.

The hotel had everything I needed: comfortable room with air conditioning, clean bathroom, clean towels. The pool, hammocks, basketball court, exercise room, and view were all wonderful. Staff was bilingual, friendly and very helpful. There's a supermarket nearby for groceries and easy access to highways to go sight-seeing. I was really very pleased with my stay.
