The Inn on the Blue Horizon stirs the romance of the Spanish Virgin Islands with a historic setting on the grounds of a former sugar plantation great house. The property, a collection of villas and rooms overlooking the Caribbean, maintains the period charm with antique-filled spaces and eclectic artwork. Rustic charm fills the rooms and villas the Inn on the Blue Horizon. The Inn on the Blue Horizon achieves the feeling of a private hacienda – complete with roomy verandas and tropical Puerto Rican fare at Carambola Restaurant, whose name means star fruit in Spanish. Great views and location

I traveled to the Inn with a friend arriving on Thanksgiving and was greeted with a special Thanksgiving dinner. All of the food at the Inn was excellent, I looked forward to breakfast each day. The grounds are very well kept, the pool was clean and gives a great view over the ocean. The location of the Inn is perfect, as it affords you easy access to anywhere you'd like to get. Even though the island is small, get a 4x4, you won't regret it, the best beaches require effort to get to them. Lastly, all the staff at the Inn were very friendly and helpful, they made the stay very enjoyable.

Wonderful Hotel

Very pleasant and accommodating personnel. The rooms are clean and presentable. There does need to be done a little upkeep, touch up in painting, grounds and bushes needed to be trimmed. But the view was great, the rooms are actually little cabins, the pool was wonderful and could be enjoyed anytime of day or night- love night swimming. Lots to do just have to get out to do it.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Public cars seem to charge what they wanted and could vary from one to the other. Never figured out if it was time of day or number of people in the car.

peaceful gorgeous setting on Veiques

We loved Inn on the Blue Horizon! Great location and beautiful grounds!! I loved the pool and bar area. Very helpful, polite and personable staff. The restaurant is very nice, expensive but so are all the other nice restaurants in the area. The remote beaches are a must see on Vieques. We went at the end of October and had the place to ourselves! We felt like we were in paradise on a far off island, which I guess... we were! Also do NOT miss the bio bay kayaking tour! Very cool experience they go at night and you can swim in the glowing plankton. It was surreal. We went with Abe's which was fine but you have to have a sense of adventure. Ask your hotel for the best company. Have fun!!

Heaven on Earth

Vieques and The Inn on the Blue Horizon are heaven on earth. The staff are attentive and engaged. The property is rustic, comfortable and beautiful. The horses add a lovely care-free atmoshphere. The sea is a few steps away. Food is fabulous.
