Outstanding Home Away From Home

This hotel gets an A+ for friendliness, quality, and service. The jewelry shops were first class. The only downside was that it was a little noisy once you were tucked away for the night. You could hear doors closing as people left their rooms at night. Other than that, it was great!

Our Honeymoon

It was a surreal experience, one that we had hoped for being that it was our honeymoon. The location was great, the food and customer service was excellent. And we even saw a celebrity or two staying in the hotel. The fact that every guest is treated like a celebrity wins tremendous points in our book. I recommend the San Juan Ritz Carlton for anyone looking to be spoiled and pampered.

Excellent Trip to San Juan

The hotel was great. We got a Pool View room with a partial view of the Ocean. I would recommend getting a pool view balcony room with partial Ocean View. Parking at the hotel was a bit expensive at $17 a night. While in San Juan, try to explore the island. Don't miss the Rain Forest and El Morro Fort. To eat out, try the Old San Juan and Conando area restaurants.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There aren't so many options for Dining at the hotel and all the restaurants close at 9 or 10pm. Try walking out of the Hotel and you'll find a lot of other options. Denny's, Chilli's and a few other local chains are at a walking distance. If you have a car, Drive down Isle Verda and you'll find a lot of other options too.

Fabulous!

This hotel is definitely 5-stars. The service, rooms, location, atmosphere, spa and restaurants were all top shelf. There is no evening Salsa band or club at the Ritz but there is plenty of entertainment at other nearby hotels. Staff always greeted me by name which is incredible given the number of guests. I will definitely stay at the Ritz Carlton on my next visit to San Juan. Fabulous!

great hotel, great experience

Great hotel in an average location if you plan to venture out at all. Not much to eat within walking distance. Need to go to old san juan or condado strip for that. However, if all you plan to do is hang by the pool and beach (which I DON'T recommend in puerto rico), this hotel is great for that.

Ritz Carlton San Juan December 09

The Ritz Carlton was excellent as advertized. I cannot say enough about how well we were treated by the staff and every detail was attended to with promptness and a courtesy seldom seen in hotel staff. We enjoyed our time and the amenities of the hotel were perfect for a wonderful stay. The food was just wonderful and the wait staff was perfection. Five stars all the way.
