Romantic getaway

From the moment we checked and were welcomed with complimentary guava mimosas (yummy) to the moment we checked out, we were thoroughly impressed by the attentive, accommodating and friendly staff. The decor and ambiance was just right for our romantic trip, especially the 24-hour access to the beach. Their in-house dining and drink options are delicious and sizeable portions, so you get your money's worth in quality and quantity. Despite that, it is a bit pricey. But there are more affordable options with more traditional Puerto Rican cuisine in walking distance, which gave our wallets a nice break. We look forward to coming back and highly recommend to anyone considering a luxury stay in San Juan.

Friends Trip

The hotel has everything you can think of - amazing pool, right on the beach, casino, you name it. Location wise, it's right next to the airport (you can hear jets flying all day if you're outside but does not disturb the rooms). My only one bad experience at the hotel was during a night swim (the pool is open 24/7). We were outside having a good time and one of the security guards kept harassing us to quiet down even though we were not that loud. Although it was a small part of the trip, it left a bad memory to what was otherwise a great experience.

Incredible. Perfect. Can't wait to come back.

We visited this hotel on our honeymoon. We came in with high expectations and these were consistently met or exceeded by the staff at the Ritz Carlton. Starting with check in- we were greeted not only with friendly faces, but also with the hotel's signature Guava Mimosas. These were delicious and my wife found herself ordering them throughout our stay. Each day, we spent lots of time at the beach, pool, and poolside bar/restaurant. The staff at the beach were so gracious in setting up our chairs / towels and made it a point to get to know us. Joshua, in particular, was extremely friendly and helpful in making us feel right at home. The food and drinks and the poolside bar were exceptional. I had the best mojitos of my entire trip at this bar. All fresh ingredients and generous portions of alcohol expertly concocted. The food was also excellent. The staff was great about accommodating a food allergy of mine. My wife and I did a couples massage at the Spa. The whole experience was incredible. Very luxurious and so relaxing. The resort itself was everything we could have asked for and more. We ate at Il Mulino and BLT Steak and went to the on-site casino every night. It was the perfect setup. We plan to return next year to celebrate our 1-year anniversary and there is no other place that we would stay other than the Ritz Carlton San Juan.

Good, but could be better

For the price we paid, we were expecting more......it doesn't have "Ritz-Carlton quality".......the room were very tight and doesn't have ventilation anywhere.....the staff were very kind and helpful, not complain.
