NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

NO ENTERTAIMENT AT ALL, ALL THEY HAVE IS THE CASINO,YOU HAVE TO GO INTO OTHERS HOTELS IN THE AREA FOR ENTERTAIMENT,FOR THAT YOU STAY AT ONE OF THE OTHER HOTELS AND PAY MUCH LESS.THIS HOTEL IS FOR PEOPLE IN THE 90'S,JUST TO LAY AROUND AND DO NOTHING,IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY CHARGE YOU, BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE EXTRA CHARGES AND TAXES,THEY CHARGE DOUBLE OF WHAT THE OTHER HOTEL CHARGE,WE MADE A MISTAKE CHOOSING THIS HOTEL, NEVER AGAIN,WE TRAVEL A LOT,NEVER THIS BAD,I NEVER COMPLAIN BUT THIS TIME HAD TO WRITE A COMMENT SO PEAPLE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

Beautiful

They don't call it "ritzy" for nothing. For the price we paid, I couldn't believe how nice this place was. On par with a 500/night hotel for less than half that. Highly recommend.

Awesome Anniversary

Very pleasantly surprised about the Ritz Carlton San Juan. I was a little afraid of the location near the airport but barely heard any planes. Old San Juan (very cool city) was about a 15 cab ride. The Ritz really went out of their way to make our anniversary trip special. Best customer service I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve stayed at similar hotels in various places. Il Mulino and BLT are delish! Awesome breakfast spread. Of course, food and drink is expensive but what else it new at a Ritz Carlton. They only downside, the surrounding area doesn’t have much going. There’s a Walgreens down the road to pick up quick things like sunscreen, etc.

Great, but not quite 5 stars

I've never stayed at a ritz Carlton, but I know it's renowned as one of the best hotels in the world. I've been to plenty of 5-star hotels, so my expectations were very high. I was never let down in my experience-the staff was attentive and friendly, the amenities were more than ample, but it fell short of my experiences in places like the langham and the w elsewhere in the Americas. That said, great value. Just don't expect a true, over-the-top 5-star experience. And don't forget about the 30$ daily resort fee (unavoidable).
