Few Isla Verde hotels have the personality of the Beach House. On the beach behind the boutique hotel sit huge canopy beds for lounging. Entrance to the hotel's beach club comes with the use of towels and lounge chairs, massage therapists (fees apply), and attendants who dispense sunblock, gelato and frosty drinks. The hotel's Cafe la Plage spills out onto a palm tree-shaded patio, which opens seamlessly to the sand. When the sun goes down, the patio becomes a nighttime hot spot lit warmly with candles and tiki torches.

Dining

Cafe La Plage is an on-site brasserie serving lunch and dinner. Specialties such as seafood ceviche are served either in the breezy indoor dining room or an outdoor patio. Guests can request a table on the beach surrounded by tiki torches. The cafe at the Beach House is closed on Mondays.

Rooms

The cozy rooms at the Beach House have a bright, contemporary look that mimics the coastline outside their windows, with thick drapes and duvets the color of dunes and seagrape leaves. Leather headboards and stainless steel lamps give the rooms a European feel. High-speed wireless Internet access is available in every room. Each bathroom has a shower. All of the rooms have a flat-screen TV with DVD player, iPod docking stations and L'occitane products.

Beach house!!!

Don't pick this hotel!!!! My room was so dirty. The sheets we're stained, floor was disgusting! And it smelled like bleach.. I was counting the hours to leave that awful hotel. I got sick from their food.!!!! The NLT good thing is the beach.. Do yourself a favor and look for another hotel! It's not worth it

Business Trip

It was a nightmare for us...First , Our room was not ready, got charged on my credit card for 2 rooms, The music was so loud I got sick . Found a dog tick on the bathroom wall.I had to called my travel agent to cancel my reservation, im still waiting for my refund ...I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was too expensive and was not too clean , At least the staff was good and tried to help ...They haven't got paid either by their employer for what I heard...

Great little hotel!

I loved the "beds" on the beach. Very relaxing, just to lay back and enjoy the view. Rooms are your basic, simple rooms, but the atmosphere and setup on the beach is great.

VERY NICE STYLISH HOTEL

I was only there for one day, but I really enjoyed the interior design of the rooms. Not a big chain hotel, but a grat place to getaway from it all. I would return on my next trip

Chic but not a place to stay.

The Beach House has a very chic atmosphere but is not geared for overnight stays. The rooms are tiny and the office parties and wedding receptions that are booked there can go late into the night. The walls are paper thin and you can hear conversations going on without much trouble. The water in the shower was only luke warm, although all the rooms were recently remodeled and are clean and well maintained. We had to change rooms soon after check-in beacause the tv did not work. The food at the restraunt was pricey and even the salad seemed to have been salted. The portions were good but the salt content made them unenjoyable. Parking was free and off the street but every evening you are likely to be blocked in or out because of the parties as every square inch of the lot was used to cram in cars.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Dining and shopping are only a very short walk away. At night we felt safe and the locals seem very friendly.
