Fantastic Getaway!
This was the perfect Hotel to stay at before our cruise. The room was great. There is so much to see & do within walking distance. There are also taxis on the corner. Lots of historical sight seeing & buildings. Lovely shopping, lots of food places to get a great taste of Porto Rican foods or US foods. I will reccomend this Hotel to anyone going on a cruise & going down early as we did. We will definately stay at this Hotel again.

Great location!!
Great location for seeing San Juan. Did a lot of walking. It was clean and reasonable quiet, but no view. Quiet and clean more important than view - not in the room enough to worry with it.

Wonderful Vacation Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton in Old San Juan. George, the concierge, was courteous, professional, and very helpful. The room was clean and the maid went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel is located in the middle of Old San Juan and getting around on foot easy. The rooftop pool is small and has no bar or food service but you can get drinks on the ground floor and bring it up. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The staff really works hard to make your vacation great.

great location-smells weird
Perfect location- walk all over Old Town, but many of the rooms smell weird- I don't think it's mold, because it didn't affect our asthma. House keeping staff has air spray that helps. Windows don't open to help air out the place. Rooms with outdoor varandas are the way to go. Worth staying 2 or 3 nights but not more.

Great getaway
Location is great, right across the street from the cruise ships! When we arrived we were upgraded to a bay view room, no additional charge. Staff was extremely helpful & friendly, especially Tina from concierge. The hotel is about 20 minutes away from Isle Verde beach, there is a lot to do at that beach-jet skiing, parasailing, you can rent beach chairs for $4 & umbrella’s for $10. A lot of restaurants around the corner from the hotel, where the meals are much cheaper than the hotel. Bring your sneakers, you will want to walk around the city of Old San Juan it’s beautiful.

One major problem with us and many others that stayed at the hotel was the Sheraton room key system. You would have to slide it at least twice sometimes 3 times to get into your room. Three times the key would not work at all so we had to go to the main desk and have it remade. Also, in order to go up or down to other floors in their elevators you need to slide your key. This is, of course, for security purposes. Again - we had to slide it at least 2 -3 times and sometimes if it did not work right away and if you were trying to go up, it would take you down to the lobby and you would have to rekey and go back up to your desired floor. We also had a problem obtaining wash cloths for our room. Three times we had to call and ask that the room be cleaned. This was at 5:00 pm and certainly the room should have been clean by then.
