Overall Experiance
I was extremely pleased with the overall service the staff provided. I book a room expecting at least a decent view of the pier which didn't happen instead i was staring at 4 walls . I spoke with the supervisor whom moved my room the following day due to the hotel being fully booked in addition the supervisor also let me check out later which i was so pleased with since my flight was leaving at 3:55pm. Cons: My 4 attempts to speak with the concierge rep was unsuccessful either on a lunch break or a 20 min break i found myself asking the front desk question too often which they were extremely helpful.

There's a great restaurant right around the corner called Mojito's. A lot of locals eat there. They have great prices and their shrimp gumbo and black bean soup is absolutely scrumptious!

One Fantastic stay and great scenery
Everything was perfect. The only problem I had was with my GPS on the rental car I got . I click on 100 Brumbaugh San Juan, Puerto Rico 00901 but the only thing that came up was a 1000 Brumbaugh which I found myself deep in San Juan by a police station. A man there drove his car while I follow him. He took me there but wouldn't receive my money for getting there. After that mishap everything came roses.I didn't want to leave.

Great Stay
We arrived VERY early for our stay. They found us a room 5 hours before normal check-in. The room was great overlooking the bay, and once all un-packed, we found the safe wouldn't work. As we did have some valuables we wanted secure, the staff tried to fix the safe, but we ended up having to pack everything and move to another room with working safe. They were great about accommodating our needs. Location is amazing. Old San Juan was our home base, and we were two to three blocks from just about anything you could need. Room was clean and the only uncomfortable thing about the hotel room was the terribly too-soft pillows. Just a preference here. The only bizarre part of our experience was that on the day of our departure, housekeeping knocked on the door at 8:30 am and asked if we knew when we were leaving. Check-out was at 11 am. Other than that, GREAT TRIP!

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you want to go to that world famous "batty" rum factory tour and you are staying at the Old San Juan Sheraton, DO NOT pay a tour company LOADS of money. The ferry dock for the factory is across the street from the hotel - the ferry is fifty cents each way, per person, and for $3.00 each way, per person to take a shuttle/taxi to the factory. Admission to the factory is FREE. Save some money!

Enjoyed the Staff (Bellman-Manual & others)
Initially, they did not have the room that I requested (kingsize & 3rd floor). The room that they put me in had the smell of a dog and my wife is allergic to dogs. After that all went quite well, I would recommend and I will return.

Great Location
Decent hotel but nothing special other than the great location. easy to get anywhere in Old San Juan. The pool is child size yet in the online photos it looks olympic size, but since its on the ninth floor you have a great view of the bay. We received no assistance with our suitcases getting to our room and the casino was average. The chicago burger bar was nothing special and the lobby was small with the "grand" staircase not so grand.

A Fun Hotel
We spent a few days in San Juan before our cruise. This hotel was in a perfect location for us because it is across the street from the pier. That was why we chose this hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and polite. Since the hotel is situated in Old San Juan, we were able to walk short distances and eat at some of the best local, authentic Puerto Rican restaurants. We were also walking distance to El Morro Fort, which was an added bonus. The most fun part of this hotel is that it has the most lively casino. Each evening there was live entertainment and dancing. We really enjoyed that.
