Mostly positive - Great Location - Confusing Housekeeping rules.
Housekeeping rules are a bit confusing. "Leave this card out before 2 a.m. to have a green cleaning," "leave this other card out by midnite to have room serviced." We were never quite sure if our room would be made up or not. When they did service it, they did not restock basics like shampoo. Water was a dollar to purchase. Room service worked great one nite, food arrived quickly and was delicious, a little surprised at all the upcharges, like delivery and auto gratuity. Tried to order another nite, and kept getting routed to the restaurant that said they did not deliver?? Same number but we could not get room service. Location is excellent, right in the heart of Old San Juan, walk around town, walk to ferry, walk to trolley. Overall I would recommend.

You can walk across the street and ride the ferry for .50 to the FREE Bacardi tour, do not buy a package tour. Also ride the trolley for free to see the Forts and a good city tour.

Ideal location to enjoy Old San Juan.
Service in general was courteous and efficient; from the valet parking to reception, and restaurant. Room and halls clean, with all necessarily amenities. The continental breakfast was pricey, but complemented by good service. But after such a positive stay; the front-desk attendant didn't even looked at me while checking out; stayed at the phone on a lengthy personal/family conversation while handling my documentation.

Perfect location
I was a bit skeptical after reading reviews of the hotel, but pleasantly surprised. The hotel is wonderful for those looking for a nice hotel, well located and without having to break the bank. The room was fine the bed comfortable, the bathroom adequate and everything worked fine - although its a shame that we did not have 'wireless' internet. The view from our room was a bonus - overlooking the harbor. Room service was quick and efficient. We experienced a fire drill due to technical difficulties but all went well and it was over quickly, - however this lead me to realize that there are no visible In-room diagrams/ information regarding fire or emergency information. I would definitely stay at this hotel again

Pre Cruise Stay
This is the perfect hotel for pre or post cruising. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the action in Old San Juan and a few steps away from the dock. The only couple of deficiencies I found about my stay are: First, a humidity odor in some the rooms is overwhelming. I dont think anyone can sleep with that smell! Fortunately, after asking for a change of rooms, I was inmediately transferred to one that was ok. And second, the elevators are too few and of an old generation, complicated and slow to use.
