Great Location and service
This small boutique hotel was on a beautiful stretch of beach five minutes from the airport. Despite being that close to the airport, airplane noise was never an issue. Upon stepping out of the front door of the hotel, it was only 10 steps to the beautiful beachfront, with free beach chairs, towels and umbrellas provided and set up for you on one of the cleanest beaches we ever saw. The staff at the hotel was very customer friendly and willing to do most anything to help or accommodate us - always with a smile. The rooftop bar (part of the weekend club scene)and pool deck gave stellar views of the area in all directions. Our room was one floor beneath the rooftop deck but we weren't affected by music or loud partying over the course of the 5 days we stayed. The stark white rooms were standard size with two double beds with their trademark blue neon lighting. The bathroom was a bit small with only one sink and did not accommodate two people dressing simultaneously - but didn't really bother us. We would definitely stay again - and look forward to it!

Instead of hailing a taxi as we normally would have, we took the local bus, which for some reason was free, to Old San Juan and rode with the locals. Admittedly, some of the areas the bus took us through what wasn't exactly scenic, but we always felt safe and got a look at the less touristy side of San Juan.

Excellent Value, really fun! amazing staff!
The hotel was amazing! The staff was incredibley helpful and they even remembered our names! I honestly cannot wait to go back.

What a view
The San Juan Water and Beach Club hotel was a great place to spend our evening in Puerto Rico. It's right off the beach and walking distance to some fun bars and Casino's.

The San Juan water and beach club was great.The staff was helpful and very friendly.The room was clean and very comfortable.The rooms are not big but had everything we needed except a microwave.There was a small fridge&coffee maker.Parking our rental car was $20 a day but worth it,because there is no parking anywhere.The hotel is right on the beach big plus.

Great Couples Getaway
The hotel is comfortable and in a great location for taking in one of San Juan's best beach scenes. The staff is very friendly, and service was above average. I suspect this hotel was once very chic, but upon arrival you can tell that details have been neglected and the place could use a little fresh paint and attention to detail. Overall I'd give this hotel an 8/10.

Staff & Location are the best features
I do love the look they were going for. But they didn't go all the way. The rooms were very basic. No place to store your stuff, a small closet, but no drawers. The furnishings were cheap and looked so. The restaurant Tangerine, is 'expensive' for the food they serve. The food is good, but I've had better for lots cheaper. I had a $20 chicken breast. It was a bit over cooked so was not moist at all. The sauce was wonderful, but not worth $20. And they really don't do breakfast well at all. But the staff was super, they are all wonderful, remembered your name from the first moment, always looked out to see what they could do for you. Location, right no the beach, that is nice. The beach is a public city beach. The sand at least around the hotel was groomed and powder soft. Great service on the beach, they would set up a chair and provide towels. Also a good location for getting around. There are many local restaurants and fast food nearby. Easy to get where you want to go from this location. Overall we had a wonderful time. Glad I stayed there for the atmosphere. But I don't think I'd want to have an extended stay. This trip was just 3 nights, that was enough for this hotel, and lots of fun.

great location, friendly staff
San Juan Water and Beach Club Hotel was comfortable, the room and the hotel was cleaned at all times. The location of the hotel was perfect for beach lovers as well as having easy access to the city. Very moderm!!!! The rooms were not large but were confortable. Restaurants, Casinos, highways were very close. The best part of this hotel was the staff. They were friendly and just GREAT.

Very Friendly Staff
This was my first visit to Puerto Rico and I couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Not only were the staff the most friendly and helpful people that I have ever encountered at a hotel but also the hotel was centrally located to several places I am familiar to seeing at home like Walgreens, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Wendy's etc.. The beach proximity was perfect. Open the doors and there was the beach! I would have liked to have had some of the cultural food on the in-house menu even though Mi Casita's was nearby. I had a lovely vacation due mostly to my hotel stay at the San Juan Water and Beach Club.

to relax
Check in was slow. 4 hrs we had to wait Arrived at 12:30, in room at 4:30pm. Staff very helpfull and polite. Do not recommend local bus system for travel (although recommended by staff). No set schedule and very crowded (almost impossible to get on) Location was ok if you just wanted to relax. Otherwise you need to take a taxi to do anything else.

Great Couples getaway
This place was perfect for our first Trip to San Juan. Located at the end of the street right across from the beach, there was no probelm finding a great spot at the beach for the day. Every employee in the hotel had a smile on theior face & was eager to help answer your questions & point you in the right direction. We didn't have a chance to eat in the hotel Restaurant, but heard it was great. The roof top pool & bar were the perfect location to start you evening. Sipping a cocktail while watching the sun set on Puerto RIco.
