Fun time in San Juan
I have to say by far the best thing about this hotel was the staff, especially Rudy. He was super friendly and provided a lot of good information about the area and things to do in San Juan. The room was a little small, but was comfortable enough for my daughter and myself. There is a washer and dryer in the hotel to do laundry, which is useful on longer stays. The air conditioning worked well and we slept well there. The breakfast was nothing special, some packaged pastries and cereal, and was often gone by 10am. The only thing good about the breakfast was the coffee. Also, the breakfast was sometimes already gone by 9:30am, which is a bummer for those of us who like to sleep in sometimes while on vacation. Overall the stay was great, and the staff really makes this hotel special.

Quick trip to San Juan
Our stay (wife and I) at the San Juan Park Hotel (SJPH) was in mid-late March. Drive from airport via taxi was quick, fares are fixed so it cost $22.50 for two pax and two bags. Hotel has only four floors and is dwarfed by two Hilton hotels in the vicinity. Rooms at the back of the hotel look over a parking lot, rooms at the front face the avenue. Room was modest but comfortable for two people. Balcony proved a plus. Counter staff speaks English and very helpful. Continental breakfast very basic and guests cannot cook meals/snacks. Excellent location. Easy to get to the old city as well as restaurants along hotel row. Park nearby offers swimming on open and protected beaches. Another park is across the street from the hotel.

Budget getaway
location was great, right in the middle of all attractions. next door to caribe hilton, short bus ride to old san juan, walking distance to condado and beach. Nicely updated and clean bathroom. Good free breakfast. Rented a car for commuting to the rain forest, was able to find free parking by the park nearby. had to do a 10 minute walking back to the hotel. Free parking beats 20bucks/day parking.

Great location, nice staff, simple accommodation
We wanted a convenient, inexpensive, clean hotel near Old San Juan and the ship port. This hotel fit the bill. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was the basic room -tiny but adequate, and very clean. Our room was quiet, whereas some fellow guests with front rooms had more space but heard some street noises during the night. It is a short walk to the Hilton Hotel and facilities intended for guests- but great for walking around. There is a Subway restaurant very close to the hotel and a couple of variety stores. We wanted wine for our cruise but found it to be very expensive in these stores. One day we walked to Old San Juan and back - it is a good long walk to visit everything, and hot, but easily doable. Beautiful beaches are close as well but we did not try these. Our ship was at the Pan American terminal - only 20 minutes easy walking distance.

One night in San Juan
My travel companion and I needed to stay in San Juan one night before our cruise began. This was a good location, between the airport and the ship docks. It's just a short taxi ride to Old Town, with it's color and character and shops and restaurants. A comfortable stay in a nice, small, intimate hotel.

San Juan Park Hotel
Perfect location between Old San Juan and Condado, right next to Escambron Beach. Very friendly staff, though the beds could be a little more comfortable. Overall, great experience.

If you want a break from typical Puerto Rican food, try out the Peruvian restaurant Lima, located about a mile from the hotel. Short bus ride on the M3 for $.75 or about a $10 cab ride. Definitely worth it!

Clean & neat - but bed was very uncomfortable.
This is a neat and tidy little hotel with very friendly staff. The price is good. Only problem for us was the bed - it was so hard our hips hurt and the plastic mattress cover made for a very hot and uncomfortable night with little sleep - even with the ac.

The bus into old San Juan is right at the door for .50. The free trollys around San Juan are convenient and timely. There is a local car rental agency around the corner - good price, new vehicles, but get there when they open or they sell out.

Ok place to stay when everything else is booked
We checked in early Saturday evening prior to our Sunday cruise departure. The hotel had received generally good reviews is why I booked it. I was pretty disappointed when we got to our room and it was the size of a closet. I am fairly tall and the bed was quite short. With 3 bags of luggage there was absolutely no room to move around. The only place to sit was on the bed. The bathroom was adequate (the sink is in the bedroom). I would not stay there again. The staff was pleasant.

Nice little hotel
Great location close to "Old San Juan". Room was clean and comfortable, but a bit small, and there was only a "full size" bed, as advertized. (We had not paid for the optional upgrade to a king size bed.) Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Good choice if you want to just have somplace to sleep and spend your money on other things.
