Don't do it!

After a long flight the last thing I expected was to stand in line for over an hour to be able to check in. The staff appeared unprepared and took personal cell phones calls while tending to patrons. Then I walked into our room. The carpet was very dirty, moist and very old. My sons brand new socks where mud black and that's before we even left the room. Let's not forget about the awful pissy smell all over the room. Could not even sleep, between the moldy smell from the AC and god awful pissy smell walked away with an awful sinus infection. Never, ever again!

regret it...

cheaper isnt always better, i picked this hotel because it had a good price but i regret it totally. to start off there is no parking they told us that they had valet parking but that it was full, but to be honest i dont think there was over 20 people in the hotel. you have to drive up and down the street to try to find a parking garage... but it will cost you $$. the halls have a very bad odor and so do the rooms. i made the mistake of sitting on the floor to unpack and my legs became full of rashes, thats how dirty it was. the bathroom was awfull and the room was missing a phone and the stand for the t.v was broken. some people have to see to believe but ur just going to waste your $

Do Your Homework

I would not recommend the San Juan Beach Hotel for many reasons.. It is not that close to the airport, there is no parking on site-across the street valet service is available, the beach front is full of rocks and in desperate need of revitalizing, and housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. When we finally arrived at the hotel on our first day the desk clerk welcomed me and asked how he may be of assistance. When I gave him our name and said that we would like to check in he stated there are no rooms. Imagine my surprise.. What he meant to say was check in was not available until 3pm(we arrived at noon) and if we would like we could leave our luggage until that time he didn't mean that they didnt have any rooms available for us.I wish I had gotten this young man's name because he turned out to be the Best Employee!! When we checked in everything went smoothly. Then we went up to our room on the 8th floor over looking the street not the beach. We discovered 2 towels-there were 4 of us, and no rollaway bed for our 15yr old son(our daughter is 17). We called down to the front desk for the towels, hand towels, wash cloths and rollaway bed with sheets, blanket and pillow. All we received was the rollaway bed with sheets. I asked for a pillow, wash cloths, towels, hand towels, and a blanket everyday to no avail until the last day they finally had enough towels. On the second day when they cleaned our room they left the dirty wet towels in a clump on the FLOOR. When I went down to the front desk to advise them of it some manager came out of the office yelling at me that the dryer was broken and that the housekeeping manager was aware of it. I calmly explained to her that that was not my grievance that my complaint was the dirty ones were left on the floor after they cleaned the room. There was not one extra blanket or pillow in the entire hotel for my son.. we had to give him the one of our bed that they kept taking off his bed and putting it back on ours when they made the beds..dah!! We used the pool once and then we discovered the maintenance guy on monday night when he cleaned the bathrooms he let the bleach water run right into the pool while he talked on his cell phone..yuk luckily we prefer the beach.

There is a Wonderful restaraunt called Miro's it is a little bit expensive but WELL WORTH IT!! The Service is phenomenal!! The food is exquisite! and the atmosphere is AWESOME! There are other local restaraunts that offer more than just native dishes such as The Rising Star I would recommend their breakfast!

Stay Away

They put me in a room that had not been made up. - Telphone calls could not be made from my hotel room - They would not give me quarters for the pay telephone - The pay telephone did not work - The bed was very, very poor - One of the windows in our room fell out.

Worst experence

We arrived at the hotel had to wait for chech-in, said rooms were not done yet. When we got to the room the room was very shabby. The bathroom was not very clean, the spread on the bed held an odor. There were no phones in the room.We were not allowed to use the pool because they had a private party going on that evening.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was friendly. When we complained to the front desk, we were told the manager would contact me, he never did.

Run Away...quickly

It is one of the worst hotels I have ever entered. I cancelled my reservation upon arrival. 2of the lobby plate glass windows were shattered, wites were hanging from ths ceiling, the paint job looks like it was teh first time someone tried to use a roller and gave up. The tiny pool has lumber and rusting iron pipes in a pile at one end so youcouldn't walk all the way around the pool. The room was disgusting. I thought the smell in the hallway was bad until I opened the door to the room. Don't ever stay here!

My review of San Juan Beach Hotel

WHEN WALKING IN HOTEL YOU CAN SEE THAT IT'S NOT UP TO PAR. THERE IS NO RESTAURANT IN HOTEL, BAR IS NEARLY ALWAYS CLOSED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT MERCHANDISE. ENTERING THE ROOMS THE SMELL OF MILDEW JUST SMACKS YOU. THE CLEAN TOWELS ARE LIMITED, THE BATHTUB WAS NOT CLEANED ONE TIME FROM THE TIME WE WERE THERE TO THE TIME WE LEFT. THERE WAS NO WATER PRESSURE. THE BED LINEN WAS LEFT FOR TWO DAYS AT A TIME. WORST OF ALL NO SECURITY AND ONE OF OUR NIGHTS AT THE HOTEL WAS JUST PURE HELL WITH OTHER GUEST IN THE FLOOR SCREAMING, RUNNING AND SLAMMING DOORS ALL NIGHT WITH PARTYING UNTIL 6AM.
