The Lima Restaurant at Ave. Ponce de León 667, is close by and one of the best Peruvian Restaurants I have ever eaten. For those who don't know it, Peru has some of the best food in the world. It's always busy, but worth it.

You Only Live Once
Marriott Condado Beach is in a prime location. According to the locals, it's one of the most expensive real estate areas in Puerto Rico. The hotel sits right on the beautiful Condado Beach and provides all the amenities to make the perfect vacation. Service was excellent and the staff was beyond cordial. The bus stop for touristy Old San Juan is just a block away and the 15 minute ride costs just $.75 and taxis are just a hand clap away. Oh, and Starbucks is across the street and a Walgreens is about two blocks away. You never have to search for anything! There are a number of restaurants nearby where you can get all types of dishes. I particularly was interested in authentic Puerto Rican dishes and even those weren't too hard to find. I recommend Latin Star and Cafe del Angel restaurants. To sum it up between location, access to transportation, beach access, and the amenities provided you coudn't ask for anything more.

Short walk from hotel
Skip the taxi ride to Old San Juan and catch the bus instead. It's just a 15 minute ride away and costs only $.75. And since the bus lets you off at the bus terminal (last stop), there's no possible way you can get lost on the way back.

vacation with friends
The staff was excellent. When I inquired about the availability of a taxi to the airport not only was I told a taxi would be there but the door greeter asked about my need to get a boarding pass and took me to the computer and helped me get my boarding pass - clearly not something in his job description. Everyone else was just as helpful. Only criticism was that there were no "sit up" chairs or tables at the pool or beach. Older persons have difficulty getting out of low lounge chairs. Tables allow for pool side games which are given out but no place to play.

Watery exnpensives drinks.
Overall is a good hotel with a good staff,I didn't eat at the hotel because there is so much choices around that you don't need tompay the higher prices at the hotel. I understand is a Marriott so you expect it to be kind of expensive. But you expect almost perfection too, I order a beer and a sangria at the bar on the pool , and it was 20 something, 12 for the sangria 7 for the heineken, in a plastic regular cup, with just a slice of orange and tons , I mean a lot of ice, of course after a second sip it was just too watery, and I felt so bad , that I have to pay 12 for ice with a red color and no flavor of sangria at all. Maybe if they put at least a better container and a nice drink decoration I will have felt a little better. I didn't get to try the food imwent for the buffet 35 per person on Sunday , but it was a la carte that day, buffet is only Saturday and Fridays , and I was afraid to go a la carte with the earlier experience at the pool,so I went out the hotel for dinner again. I stayed fro 4 nights from then 13 to 17, room 1219. Parking is kind of expensive too, 16 self parking ,20 for valet parking. And they charge me for 4 nights of parking when in reality I parked there for only 3, I got to the hotel at 2am Friday the 14. I understand they have to charge a full day if you get there past 12 to guarantee your room, but for the parking too, common? The ambiance in the lobby was nice, they have music all day and the hotel is in a centric street close to everything, the bad thing is that the traffic is very slow during the weekend, so be patience if you are driving , this was my first trip to PR, and I will be back but I will probably look for another alternative to the Marriott ,sometimes higher prices doesn't mean best quality

Look at the cost of drinks wherever you got, we paid 15 for 3 juices 5 each one in an apparently affordable restaurant around the hotel, since the price of food since ok, you don't pay attention to the cost of drinks until you got the bill.

Great hotel
We really enjoyed our stay. All of the staff employed by the hotel were fantastic. The man working at the activity kiosk was rude and totally ignored me. Its easy enough to brush off but I wish I didnt have to walk past him everyday. Otherwise, things would have been perfect. The food is great too.
