I CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK HERE
I treated my brand new boyfriend for his birthday, took him to PR. I absolutely loved everything about this resort from the convenient location to the bars, casinos, buffet. It is right on the shore, the beach was absolutely beautiful. The pool areas had plasma televisions and lights inside the pool at night. We had a suite with the King Bed and city view, the view left me speechless. It was a dream... When I go back, I hope to get the same room :-). This was my 1st time in Puerto Rico. I'm so happy I chose San Juan and I was very smart to choose the Marriot/Stellaris. I now have plans of making a permanent move to PR within the next 5 years and I plan to visit PR at least once per year until my move is permanent.

Great resort!
The beach is very clean, and you can get drink service (perfect!). Location is within easy walk to great restaurants, Walgreens, and bus. Hotel's restaurants were very good; room service was prompt. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A perfect place to get away and relax. I only wish there had been a microwave in the room.

Try one of the local restaurants for lunch or dinner. I had some great Puerto Rican food within a 1-2 block walk of the hotel. Your hotel room has a fridge and coffee maker, so buy some great Puerto Rican coffee, some milk, and stop at a liquor store from some fantastic rum. I bought 2 bottles of rum for the cost of 4 drinks in the hotel bar!

Short walk from hotel
if your into "native food" you might need a car because all the restaurant's close by are basically american (burger king, fuddruckers, subways, dunkin donut and etc..). shopping is in walking distance (gucci, LV and etc...). and any thing else you could ask for is basically right outside your door

good value!
The hotel overall was really great. When we were able to get a hold of the staff they were very friendly and helpful... but saying that it was very hard to get a hold of the "front desk, concierge" I don't know why but it was. The pool and view are amazing. You have to be careful about the view because me husband and I hard a pool/ocean view room but it was called a "cabana room"- this is the room you want if you are considering a pool/ocean view because the other option you can hardly see the ocean and the rooms are located in a spot that you would have to lean out the balcony to get a really nice view. They had music every night which was nice. Another thing i would mention is that if you like a particular alcoholic beverage you should know exactly whats it it because I wanted a tequila sunrise and the bartender did not remember how to make it and it did not taste good and the drinks are expensive so it was somewhat disappointing. The location is great though close to a lot of different things and a bus stop which was great. We had fun this hotel was super popular with business and leisure clients so don't worry about the hotel itself! have fun!

Don't pay a taxi to go to old san juan. Get the bus! the bus was only 75 cents each way and the trolley that take you around the area is FREE! seriously if you want to save money don't pay a taxi 20 dollars to take you 5 miles

Great Vacation
We enjoyed the hotel, and the staff was extremely helpful. We booked an excursion through the hotel and were not very pleased with it. It was extremely unorganized for the money we paid. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay.

Great Relaxing Vacation
Our room had an amazing view of the pool and the beach. Everything was so close to the hotel. The beach was in the back, the buses that takes you to old san juan and plaza de las americas (only 75 cents) are right up front. There were many familiar stores in walking distance like Starbucks, Dunkin Dounuts, Wendys, and Walgreens. There were also some great inexpensive Puerto Rican restaurants just a couple blocks away.

Puerto Rico fun
We used the hotel mostly to sleep and get ready to go out. The rooms were very nice, and the pool was nice as well. The accessibility to the beach was a plus. The staff accommodated their schedule to clean the rooms to us and that was very nice.

Great Time
This hotel is very nice. The hotel is updated very nicely. The decore is nicely done, bathrooms are big and it seems that most of the rooms have a really great view of the beach/pool. The rooms also have small frige, which is nice. The location is fantastic (nice beach), close to a lot of restaurants, rental car and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. We usually don't do buses but the bus service in San Juan is fantastic. We took the #21 to Old San Juan twice and it worked out perfect. The pool is great for young children/young teens. It can get a little crowded but there are plenty of lounge chairs to lay out and the beach is really nice (also plenty of lounge chairs with umbrellas to go around). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel.

Make sure and take the bus into Old San Juan (Sunday the buses are free,Tues-Sat $3 roundtrip). There are a lot of great restaurants and shopping. There are two Forts in Old San Juan that you must visit and for $5.00 pp you visit both. I suggest you visit Fort El Morro the first day and then return on Tuesday to visit Fort Cristibal. Every Tuesday at 6pm Fort Cristibal puts on a dance festival that is really nice to watch. So for $5 you can see both of these historical forts built in the 1500's and watch a lovely dance festival. Just remember they cant be done in the same day, it's too much to do. You will spend a least 3hrs at each fort.
