Historic San Juan hotel blends serenity and sophistication
InterContinental San Juan Resort & Casino has the look and feel of Miami Beach hotels in their heyday. The hotel was designed and built in the late 1950s by a prominent architect and maintains suave sophistication. Great vacation getaway
The InterContinental San Juan Resort & Casino was a great place to stay. Our oceanview room had a breathtaking view and was quite spacious. The employees were all friendly and quite helpful. Most of them spoke english very well. There was a vanity area outside of the bathroom which made it easier for everyone to get ready. The pool and beach areas were beautiful. They did a good job of keeping all the areas clean. The concierge was very helpful in providing us with directions and suggestions for places to go. There was an car rental area within the hotel, which made it very easy to rent a car.

Great Location/ Friendly Staff
This was our first visit to Puerto Rico & the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more friendly. We were greated with smiles every time we entered the lobby - it didn't matter if it was 1:00 in the afternoon or 1:00 in the morning. The rooms were clean & comfortable. The staff gave great recommendations & driving directions. We could not have asked for a more comfortable and pleasant stay.

Renting a car gives more options that taking the bus or going on a arranged tour. There is a rental center in the hotel with great staff & the cars are just across the street.

Great location
The San Juan Intercontinental was great. My only complaint was that the hotel restaurants were VERY expensive which we knew going into the vacation. The room was pretty and the view from the balcaony was great. There were four of us in the room two of which were 18 and 20. We had enough room but wish we had more dresser space. The location was great as we didnt feel stuck at the hotel. There were affordable restaurants within walking distance. It was only 10 minutes from the airport which was very convenient. The beach was phenomenal! It was very clean and the water was warm. Public bus transportation was available and taxis galore. El Morro was only a fifteen minute ride and the rain forest which we went on a tour sponsored through the hotel was only 45 minutes away. The tour was great. If you like a vacation that you are able to sight see and relax at the pool or beach this hotel is for you.

If you have kids, bring breakfast food with you or buy it across the street. You can keep the milk in the room refrig. We brought with us cereal and breakfast bars, plastic throwaway bowls and spoons and saved money and time. Also next door at the El San Juan you can go to their Starbucks for coffee.

5 Star Hotel
The hotel was gorgeous. The service throughout the hotel was very accomadating and impeccable. The rooms were luxurious-very comfortable. Alfredo's restaurant was delicious and very romantic. I did not find it too pricey. (Dinner for four with a bottle of sparkling wine tip included $175.00) The food prices were comparable to the service and quality. The beach/pool area are just as expected beautiful. We really had a terrific time. Our seven year old daughter had a really good time. Especially on the beach. One of my favorite things was being able to sit in the pool with an adult refreshment at night under candle light and listening to a live band play spanish music. One night we were pleasantly awaken by the sound of booms. We got up and went to the balcony and witness the most beautiful fireworks display. I highly recommend the hotel and I can't wait to go back. We loved Puerto Rico! A+++++

Beautiful and Relaxing
The Intercontinental Resort and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico provided my daughter and I with a beautiful and relaxing spring break experience. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious with 2 double beds, oversized chair and side table, large desk, armoire and a small balcony. The vanity area with wall mirror and make up mirror was separate from the shower area. A hair dryer, iron, ironing board, refrigerator, coffee pot and clock radio were provided. The pool area was beautifully landscaped complete with a waterfall, swim up bar, and plenty of lounge furniture. Fresh towels and pillows were available in the pool area. This resort is beach side with the beach being just beyond the pool. All staff members that we encountered were very helpful and a safe, clean, and secure atmosphere was provided. Our favorite dining option was the beach side grill located on the property. We found the other dining options to be over priced.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
THE INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL WAS A GREAT STAY FOR BOTH ME AND MY BOYFRIEND. THE STAFF WAS EXECELLENT THE AMENITIES AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL WERE GREAT. THE FOOD AT THE HOTEL WAS QUITE PRICY AND NOT GREAT. WE ATE AT ALFREDOS AND WE DID NOT ENOJOY THE FOOD THERE AT ALL SPEACIALLY FOR THE PRICES THEY HAVE. WE DID ENJOY VERY VERY MUCH THE FOOD AT THE JAPANESE PLACE THE FOOD WAS GOOD BUT LIKE I SAID VERY PRICY EXPECT TO SPEND AT LEAST $70.00 FOR 2 PEOPLE. LASTLY ON OUR FIRST DAY WE ATE BY THE POOL ON THE GRILL. I HAVE TO SAY I WAS VERY VERY SHOCKED AT THE PRICE QUITE RIDICULOUS. WE BOTH HAD A BURGER EACH WITH FRIES AND 2 SODAS.. OUR BILL CAME OUT TO $54.00. I THINK THIS WAS VERY EXPENSIVE FOR JUST BURGERS!!! OTHER THAN THAT THE HOTEL ITSELF HAS GREAT FRIENDLY STAFF-- VERY QUITE AND FAMILY ORIENTED. YOU DO NOT GET MANY OUTSIDE PEOPLE LIKE YOU WOULD IN OTHER HOTELS. THE CASINO WAS GREAT. THE HOTEL HAS 24 CAB SERVICE!! MINUTES AWAY FROM EVERYTHING!! THE ROOMS WERE SUPER CLEAN!!! I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL IS!!-- THE POOL AREA IS VERT NICE. THIS HOTEL IS EXACTLY WHAT WE EXPECTED AND FOR THE PRICE WE PAID I THINK IT WAS ALL WE EXPECTED!!! I WOULD RECOMEND THIS TO ANYONE AND I WOULD DEFNENTLY STAY HERE AGAIN. I HAVE STAYED AT ALOT OF HOTELS IN PUERTO RICO AND BY FAR THIS IS THE BEST!!!

Great pool/ocean location
The hotel was very nicely decorated, great location to the beach, great pool area and very friendly staff. Prices were ok, not great for drinks and food on site. Very nice sushi bar/resturant on site. Casino is a small one, nothing special but at least its there.Rooms were comfy and have all the stuff to make you feel at home. We heard the family next to us thru the walls on several occassions, but dont know if this was typical. Beach was great for people watching and very warm. Plenty of surf and para-sailing, seadoos, etc. Local area outside not the greatest but no real issue. Overall we would definately go back there first for the price!!

Best sleep I've ever had!
I can't say enough about the staff, very friendly, especially the gentlemen that arranged for our transportation to the pier and airport. The beds, the beds are amazing. I have not slept that well in years, and my husband and I are going to try and find that mattress and mattress cover as soon as we get home from our cruise!

Hi . This indeed was a great experence . The hotel staff was top notch. Smile were all around at this hotel. The hotel and the grounds are beautyfull.With flowers, waterfalls,and Views of the ocean.The rooms have plenty of space,were clean with anything you need was there or just a call away. My wife and daughter can't wait to go there again.This was a great value and I highly recommend you vist the Intercontinental San Juan Resort & Casino
