Historic San Juan hotel blends serenity and sophistication
InterContinental San Juan Resort & Casino has the look and feel of Miami Beach hotels in their heyday. Always a awesome time
This is my 5th stay at the intercontinental and as always awesome. The upkeep of the hotel and hospitality of staff is great. Everyone takes time to remeber your name or your face and greets you all the time. Its good to come back to a hotel and staff could remeber you and greets you as a friend not as a customer.

Nice location
Needs updating in rooms..requested a king but only had doubles which were too small. Furniture was scratched..good restaurants either at the hotel or nearby but expensive..pool was cold..staff were great ...friendly and helpful...good entertainment next door.

Nice and Noisy
PROS: (1) As far as the trip and hotel I think you can’t beat the value. (2) Room was nice and clean with an ocean view. (3) Check-in/out was a breeze (4) Beach bar and food was great. CONS: (1) can’t believe all the maintenance work going on around the pool; tree service taking down tree’s from 7:30am to 2:30pm every day! (2) Pool bar closed (3) our special doorman James was great but when we had another provide our taxi driver with info on a restaurant we wound up at the wrong place EVEN AFTER WE PROVIDED A GOOGLE MAP AND ADDRESS TO IT! (4) Casino was small, lacked decent slots, craps table closed during whole stay. Next visit I would select another hotel in the area to see if there are better ones out there.

Honeymoon stay in San Juan
We started off our Honeymoon in Puerto Rico at the Intercontinental in San Juan. This place was fantastic. Upon arrival they upgraded us to an ocean front room - very impressive. The pool is excellent and the beach is gorgeous. There are also lots of little restaurants within walking distance that were quite tasty. Definitely would stay here again if we go back to San Juan!

Great 6 night stay
I have to say that we have stayed at many wonderful hotels. This hotel staff was so freindly, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. The staff was exceptional. The food at the hotel was expensive but there are plenty of restaurants in the area and the staff is more than willing to make great recomendations.

Great Hotel Experience
I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The beach, pool, and hot tub were so beautiful and its awesome that the pool area is 24 hours so you can utilize it after a night on the town. Awesome hotel with comfortable beds and pillows, too :)

El Yunque and Night Kayaking are a must see while you are there. We rented a car and it was totally worth it rather than taking taxis everywhere, which could get expensive quickly.

Hotel is fine. Not great but works. Food at hotel is average. Wait staff is always on island time. However, only 10 mins from airport, right on beach and near other hotels. $20 cab rights each way to old san juan which gets annoying after awhile.

Definitely clean and conveniently located, but somewhat shabby and run-down.....no where near as lux as one would expect from an Intercontinental. Staff was great, restaurants were just OK. Would we stay there again? Probably not

La Perla restaurant in La Concha Hotel on Condado Beach! Very elegant, refined and comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Hotel after cruise
This is a fine hotel for what we want - a quick stop before or after our cruises out of San Juan. The hotel is nice with a great restaurant next door Ruth Chris.
