Howard Johnson Isla Verde - Carolina

We stayed here on a friday night and the followung Saturday night we went on a cruse for 7 days. The first day we were put down stairs with no windows , that fine but no hot water in the shower .. Not good ! We told them about the hot water and then when we came back from the cruise they put us in the same room and no hot water again.... the pillows are hard and 1 pack of coffie in the room ....The tolet paper you had to find and it's not on a spindel you hold it when used. Wont go back ! The staff was ok .

was great for budget the staff are great . The room ac staff is great hot waterworks great hotwater last for the three of us back to back. Room serviceis great everyday they clean , cable and wifi.breakfast everyday the same Spanish oatmeal, pastries.. there was never no one at the pool.the beach is across the street. Car rental 1 block away ($500 hold deposit) + $8 a day to park at the hotal. a lot of amercan foor ( kfc, taco bell, chillies, pizza hut ) there is a rrestaurant in the hotal that is great if you want spanish food walk to block up on ur right.. (mI casa something like that name..5 min away from airport.. if you want cash back go to walgreens .. at the atm it $5 fee.

The staff was very friendly, the hotel is nothing fancy but it’s good for the price. The beach was right across the street and about a 10 minute drive from Condado beach and 15 minutes from Old San Juan. I have to say the hotel location was great for the beach, and visiting San Juan. I definitely recommend a car rental since you pay about 50 per day and just one trip to and from Old San Juan is $42 via taxi. Do not use Allied car rental, this is what is recommended by the hotel; they have absolutely terrible customer service! There are other car rental agencies near the hotel. It was a good experience with the exception of dealing with the car rental people.

I had to go to the emergency room. The room was very moist and moldy to the point that I ended up with an upper respiratoy bacterial virus. They were doing renovations was very noisy during the day that made your head hurt.

The Hotel was ok. A little run down. Staff was very nice. The best part wads the Isla Verde Beach across the street.

Easy check in and out, no problems with staff. Decent pool, not as big as we thought it would be. Location was great!!! Walking distance from everything. Clean hotel, a little run down but we were only sleeping there, certainly clean enough. Daily housekeeping great. Took a day booze cruise, had the best time. Plenty of restaurants and 2 good casinos near by. Felt safe.

The hotel was located one block off the beach. The beach was nice, the bus stop was only steps away for a trip to Old San Juan, and the hotel offered free breackfast from the top floor of the hotel which offered a nice view of the surrounding area. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed anything. The room was ok as long as you don't take a vacation for the luxury of the room. The cable/satellite froze often but overall it wasn't bad. There is a nice resturant on the ground floor of the hotel. Good place for the price.

The Hotel is conveniently located, they recently renovated but only minor details like lamps and mirrors. The doors look really used, the walls are not well painted. The worst part was the smell, the pillows and sheets smelled used (Terrible!!), we had to ask for replacements and the new ones also smelled funny, it was disgusting.

The hotel need to make some renovations in the room and the hallways, but for the price and locations is good.

Are stay was wonderful great area, right across the street from beach and resturants and walking .distance to Walgreen. Upgrade to a jr. suite wonderful. staff great. Will stay again...R..Battle Creek Mi
