Area description
Miramar is, for the most part, a quiet, unassuming neighborhood across the water from Condado. It's a mix of residential community, business sector, and some admittedly shady areas. But Miramar's fortune changed with the arrival of the Puerto Rico Convention Center. An architectural wonder, the center is still putting it's stamp on the neighborhood, but it has already transformed the landscape.

Pleasantly surprised...

Picked the hotel based on it's proximity to the airport... was expecting a dumpy place. The hotel is super cute, close to everything, the food at the bistro is fantastic and the staff is very helpful. We saw a great movie at the cinema just a block away, grocery store and restaurants all at your steps.

the room has bad smell and the AC is too loud

It's a small hotel with a small lobby. The staff is OK. But the room has some kind of smell and the AC is too loud and I cannot sleep.

A nightmare

This hotel was absolutely horrible. The room was musty, and outdated. They tried to cover the smell with an enormous amount of room deodorizer, which agitated my sinuses. They advertised a microwave in the room, No Microwave. They advertised continental breakfast, No Continenttal Breakfast. They advertise free parking, they have 4 parking spaces for the entire hotel. I left my room at 8am left the tag on the door requesting maid service. Returned at 4pm and my room still had not been cleaned. I had to ask several times for clean towels. My husband got stuck in the elevator twice. They advertise a fitness room, they have an exercise bike in a closet. The adjacent restaurant is dingy with rude staff. The hotel is located in a very scary part of the city. It's surrounded by abandoned buildings and over run with homeless and drunken vagrants. Each night when we returned we had to step over one practically sleeping in the doorway. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Vacation

I so enjoyed my stay at the Miramar Hotel. It is a small, but! cute hotel. The location afford several places for dinning, gorcery shopping and theater. It was walking distantance from other hotels who offered a casino, pool and beach areas. Would I stay there again? Yes! I would.

Very good Hotel for the price

The staff was very friendly and helpful when ever need. The hotel was alittle far from beaches or tourist destinations but they were only a short bus ride away. Plenty of stores and nice restuarants with good prices nearby.

Perfect Choice for Economic Travelers

We booked the hotel as a part of the vacation package from Orbiz. The price was very nice compare to its location and the condition. And the front desk was quite friendly and they all bilingual. A remarkable thing is that the chief was graduated from JWU, which is the number one hospitality school in USA. The food tastes great but not pricy.
