I enjoyed the room, it was clean and very nicely decorated. The bath room was small, but had every thing we needed. Did not ... use pool or fitness room, but they looked adequete. The best thing was the included Continental Breakfast where we met others staying there, also going on a cruise. The front desk staff was helpful in finding local attractions and taxi's. Would stay there again. Good deal for the price!

Hidden treasure in Condado!

I have traveled various times to Puerto Rico. I have stayed in Old San Juan and Condado and perfer staying in Condado because ... everything is in walkiing distance. The hotel was just a block away from the beach. It is kind of hidden but great location. Free breakfast, great staff! If you are on a budget this is a great play to stay!

the good and the bad

the room was small for two people but comfortable. The bathroom was totally two small. the toilet was practically on top of ... the bathtub I needed to place my right arm on top of the sink in order to sit down. the toilet bowl was small and narrow. The only place I have seen that size toilet was in Kindergarten classes. Otherwise the room was okay.

The hotel was fine for what we required...a place to sleep and a pool to relax in. The rooms were clean and spacious and the ... staff was friendly so there was nothing to complain about. However there was no bar service -- a bigger deal than we thought it would be, and the pool was tiny. But for the price we payed and the hotel's location, we couldn't have asked for much more.

Hotel needs a restaurant. Rooms are very small. Pool is empty so you have the pool to yourself. But I guess you get what ... you paid for. Hotel is reasonable. Good continental breakfast though.

This was my first trip to San Juan, but not my first stay at a Holiday Inn. This particular hotel was a huge disappointment ... compared to other Holiday Inn hotels. The lack of a refrigerator and microwave was compounded by the extremely unfriendly staff. This staff was dismissive, unwilling to assist and refused to welcome me upon entering the hotel. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay before boarding a cruise. Very clean. All the staff was friendly and very helpful. We were upgraded to ... a suite !!! The only problem was the distance from Old San Juan and lack of places to eat nearby.

Our room faced other, older hotels but other rooms might be able to see the bay. The bay is incredibly beautiful. The hotel ... is only blocks from "the Beverly Hills of San Juan" where there is fantastic shopping. There are great resturants within blocks of the hotel. The room was small and the bathroom was the tiniest we have ever seen. Don't try to turn around in there !! It is all older but reasonably clean. There was a great Mexican Resturant several blocks away, Tijuana Resturant. There were resturants for every taste on the main street. The bay is a sight to remember.

Good Deal

Overall, my experience was good. There were a few hiccups though. Initially, the guests in the room next door to me were ... noisy and had music on until 4 AM but after I spoke with the manager, they gave me a different room and it was fine. Other areas of improvement are the fact that you need to get an access card every day if you want to use the business center or the gym facilities because the card access code is changed every day so that was an inconvenience. The continental breakfast was basic, pastries, cereal, coffee, juice, bananas, hard boiled eggs. The pool was ok and there was a small whirlpool. The business center had two computers and the gym was small and basic. The facilities itself was very clean and the staff was helpful. Taxi service was avail outside the hotel. The day I was to check out (check out is noon), I returned to my room at 11:50 AM to find that my keys did not work so but I gain spoke to the manager and got it corrected. Overall, it is a good selection - the location is great - close to buses and restuarants and other major hotels.

Hotel location is in a street about 1/2 a block from the main road , it's not a bad location but certainly not the best. ... Service at the hotel is great ,rooms are clean & spacious .Check-in and check out was a breeze .My only complaint was that there were others guests slamming doors early in the night. ( find it a bit uncomfortable ).Don't mind staying there again

A Great Stay

When we got to the hotel, it was a little early, so we had to wait for our room, which was understandable. They held our bags ... for us so we could walk around. Once it was time to check in, they had told us that the room that we had purchased was not available to us. The room was available the next day, after checking for it a few times. Besides that, it was a pretty good stay. The staff was friendly and somewhat helpful. The pool and hot tub were great during the day and at night if you didn't want to walk down to the beach. The beach is right down the block and theres a bus stop that can get you around, either to shop or to just look around. We would definitly go back to this hotel. The point of our stay was to have a good time and enjoy the gorgeous weather and we did just that

If you wish to shop till you drop and eat some great food: take the B53 or B21 to the last stop which is Old San Juan and do exactly that eat and shop until you drop,and then get back on the bus heading to San Juan and relax.

We went to Puerto Rico for a short vacation. We loved the island. I wouldn't say the same for the hotel. May be because it is ... in a super location, the hotel management did not care about the rest. The room was reasonably clean, but needed a lot of maintenance. We got the room repaired while we were there! First technicians had to come and clean the clogs in the bath tub and the sink, which were followed by repairs of the toilet. Coffee maker switch had to be repaired so that we could make coffee. Then closet door had to be fixed. Moreover, they closed the pool for two days (our only two days there!) for repairs. Finally, the light bulb in the bathroom went off. Luckily that was the end of our stay, and we did not have to worry about fixing it, anymore There are plenty of hotels around Holiday Inn Express at a similar rate, e.g. Comfort Inn (at least newer) I recommend selecting another hotel.
