San Juan hotel with pool and free breakfast in Condado area
The Holiday Inn Express San Juan greets guests with a tropical chic lobby, complete with potted palms, salmon-colored easy chairs and striped wallpaper. That theme continues in the hotel's tidy guestrooms that overlook Condado Lagoon. The Holiday Inn Express San Juan is a good home base from which to explore all of San Juan, including nearby Ashford Avenue, with world-class beaches, restaurants and shopping. A pleasant patio with colorful tables and chairs, and a pool with a waterfall wall and whirlpool beckon weary travelers.

Sorry the experience was awfully not what I expected for the hotel stay this hotel I won't recommend to anybody it was smelly humid and dirty we checked out the next say hope to get remburst for the other days that we didn't use .and parking was expensive

Good Hotel
This hotel is located with in walking distance of plenty of places to eat, as well as about 15 minute walk to a movie theater, a beach across the street and bus stops close by to get to Old San Juan. The rooms are small but if you are enjoying the area then you won't be there that often. The pool and hot tub area was nice.

Take the bus to Old San Juan, then take the Ferry to the other side of the bay and go to the Bacardi distillery. It free admission, and will cost you about 5 dollars a person in travel.

staff is rude..wouldn't help accomodate for late checkout as departing flight was late...room very basic..small pool, hottub always full..location just ok

Awesome value and helpful staff
Even though the rooms were a little small, hotel has the most convenient location in San Juan. Just a short bus ride away from Old San Juan and Isla Verde. Also, the beach is literally a minute walk away. The front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating.

perfect location
The hotel is situated very conveniently right opposite the Condado Beach. Walking to some restaurants and the bus stops. Has a hot tub. FREE BREAKFAST! That helped a lot. The rooms were clean. Bathroom was small. Street parking was not that big of a hassle for us. There is a parking garage right opposite the hotel if anything. All in all a good pick.

Centrally located
This hotel is centrally located in the Condado district. The room is average, nothing special. There are restaurants, casinos, and stores nearby. The Condado beach is right across the street and Playa Escambron is within walking distance. Condado beach has lots of waves so Playa Escambron is better for swimming. The large resort hotels have restaurants and bars with tvs. We didn't see many clubs but there were several bars and restaurants open late. The area seemed very safe, clean, and the people were very helpful. We had a very nice trip.

We visited Old San Juan by bus. The buses may not come as often as advertised but eventually they come and they are only $0.75 per person. The cab ride is about $15. The buses don't run very late so we took a cab when we stayed out late in Old San Juan. The nightlife in Old San Juan is nice around the docks (Senor Frogs) and several nice restaurants are in the same area.
