Expected Better Service
For the price (which is on the high end) I did expect better attention to be provided for service. Amenities and activities (good nightlife on weekends) were very good but the service was slow (even when the bar was not full) and I had to resort to taken car of my own service when on the beach. In some cases the hotel did not have sufficient staff. I would recommend this hotel to friends but would preface by letting them know that they might need to be a little assertive in getting service.

Room was excellent and staff was mostly helpful. Some wait staff were not interested in us. Food very expensive for value. Drinks very expensive. Nice beach and pool but beach attractions expensive and hard to access. Beach bar/restaurant was seldom open.Would stay again but will try adjacent hotels first.

Fantastic beach.
Hotel has perfect beach in whole isla verde area. Having breakfast through fantastic ocean view was amazing.

Not great, not bad. Hotel is fine. Staff needs some work.
The hotel itself is ok. Nothing to write home about about on par with a typical motel 6. Some of the staff members were great. But others fell far short. Waiting 4 hours for a room after we arrived. Even after paying for an upgrade. Being told things about tours that were simply not true. The maid staff missed cleaning our room 5 times during the week. This may have been some what because we were in and out but still no excuse. Other members in the food service department were great. The big draw for this hotel was the beach. But after going to two other hotels in the area for dinner we realized what a let down our hotel was. I did not price those hotels so I cant say if they were a better value. The last drawback to the hotel is the cost of food. Every meal for four people was 80 to 120 bucks. This is way two much. The problem with leaving the hotel to get diner somewhere else is it cost 20 bucks each way in a cab. So you cant win either way. Would I stay here again. NO. Was it that bad. NO. I would give it a 5 out of 10.

Dont go on the half day rainforest tour it is a waste of time and money. BORING>>>ZZZZZZZZ Do the canopy zip line tour. Very nice people. Had a great time.

Over all nice, but TV signal was a problem especially on the rainy days. Housekeeping missed the soaps, water and tea 2 days.

weekend getaway
hotel is in a good location about a 15min walk to el san juan Hotel & Casino Club Brava is also in there Great club.The hotel is average pools ok beach is nice resturants in the hotel are pretty good Only thing Watch OUT FOR the occupanies charges If you have 3 or 4 adults in 1 room you will be charged $50 a night plus tax BLANK never let me know I got a bill on the last day for $200 so watch out

An ok place to stay
The pictures gave us a different impression than it actually was. Most of the hotel staff is very friendly though and we liked that the pool and beach were so close. The hotel food is not that great and very over priced. The location of the hotel is also very far from the main stores. The area is very safe though. I personally would stay at a different hotel the next time around.

Decent overnight
This was a nice place to stay one night between flights, not sure if I would want to spend a whole vacation there though. Room wasn't the cleanest room ever but it wasn't out-right dirty. Id stay here again for one night.

we stayed for a quick shopping trip, so only used the pool once, but it is right on the beach and still was in a fun beachy area... Isle Verde

If you are headed to Plaza Las Americas don't let your GPS take you through the tunnel, much faster to go via the toll road over the water.
