Pleasently surprised
Located at the end of the strip in Isla Verde. Have been to Puerto Rico, probably 15 times. Have stayed at most of the hotels in the San Juan area and really enjoyed this one. The beach area was great and the pool was more than adequate. They had local groups playing most every night and it made the lobby a lively place. The fitness area was barely adequate but at least they had one. Staff were pleasant and attentive. The airport is very close so you do hear the planes taking off so if you want it real quiet this may not be the place.

Had a great time.
Courteous staff and attentive. Food at the various resturants was terrific each time. Lobby had a musty smell. Room was clean and a good bargain. Outstanding beach. Casino not very good and a bargain for seniors.

Family Vacation Success - Watch 4 Fees!
This is a great hotel in a nice location at the end of the beach (which is great). One should note the rooms are smaller than possibly expected when booking suites, but are still very roomy. The openness of the shower was lovely. Complimentary water is a nice plus. The staff was great. Our air conditioner started leaking and it was repaired by the time we returned a couple hours later. The hotel is located within a 10 minute walk from a walgreens, dennys, and several other local restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was a challenge, unless you want to pay the $16 buffet. The Bananas restaurant only offered a toast/bagel, pastry, and a drink for $5 which is okay for adults, but not so great for kids. I suggest grabbing some cereal or other breaksfast items from a local store. The swim up pool was great, but not heavy on the alcohol for the large fee. The pool restaurant was nice and not too overly priced. Great burgers! There is a great kids pool with a little slide - the kids loved it! Also, remember to ask the front desk for the complimentary Off! bug spray. Just a note, watch out for the extra person charges, even if you tell the front desk the extra persons are under 12. We had $250 extra charges on our bill before it was corrected (which they easily fixed). Overall, the place was great, just wanted to make notes for future customers! :)

Hotel great, but ORbitz cust servi sucke
My experience was great, until check out. and it had more to do w/ ORbitz than the hotel. I was traveling w/ 2 other adults and paid for what I thought was hotel for 3 people. When i was checking out, I found out that their was a $25 additional fee added for the 3rd person in the room, each day. When I cotnact Orbitz, and talked to a supervisor named [...], I might as well had been talking to the wall. he was not helpful nor informative. Luckily,I talked to the hotel manager and was able to get the fee waived. Manager also told me that this always happens w/Orbitz. I will never use this website again. You customer service reps are deplorable.

Great Vacation
Rooms should have been cleaned earlier in the day; the room always seemed to be getting cleaned at the wrong time (never got cleaned before 3pm). Food at the hotel was too expensive, should offer lower cost items for those that do not eat as much.

Convenient Value
The Courtyard was clean and hospitable. Would suggest that you get up before 10:00 to get a cup of coffee. Afterwards, you'll be paying $4 for a small cup. Cans of soda were $3.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
Go rent a car before you do any activities. It will save you a ton of money versus having people pick you up. Also, as to be expected, do not book anything at the hotel. Very expensive

Great location for the price
This was my first non all-inclusive vacation in the Carribean. The beach was great, but I thought the pool was below average. There were too many palm trees blocking the sun. If the pool doesn't bother you, I would definitely reccommend this hotel. It is very quiet and peaceful (although I would have rathered a hotel with a little more entertainment since we traveled as friends in our mid twenties), but regardless the location is great for going to the other hotels for restaurants and night life. The only thing to really do at night in the hotel is to go to the casino but there are some fun places to go to around Isla Verde Avenue within walking distance.

A great hotel and beach
We had time to ourselves in the room because of frequent heavy rain showers and overcast skies. When weather permitted we went on the beach. The sand was soft and the water was calm and clean. The pool was warm and it was very pleasant to lounge at the side of the pool - towels were provided. We didn't noticed the incest bites until later that day. There is an indoor casino. There are various social activities available to occupy your time. Most of the day & evening food and snacks are available inside the lobby. During the weekend a buffet is available for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. The menu is adequate and pricing is acceptable. If you don't care for the hotel's meals you will have to make an effort to find a near-by restaurant and that could be more interesting than you would think.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
A mini-mall anchored by a Walgreen is a 15 minute walk away. Denny's and McDonalds are nearby. We took a bus to the Outback for dinner. The sidewalks are very narrow. The local bus does not run on weekend evenings! Taxis are available at the hotel and the rates are resonable.
