Young at Heart Mare
Best winter family getaway
My husband and daughter (age 25) and I celebrated my birthday here on a whim for 5 nights, and WOW, were we ever surprised by this Courtyard! We usually stay in Marriott Courtyards when we travel in the US, but this Courtyard resort is exceptional in every way. Beautiful pool area with swim up bar, friendliest staff, extras like massages on the beach. Hotel is on a spectacular stretch of beach outside San Juan, minutes from the airport and Old San Juan. We walked easily and safely to restaurants and shops in Isla Verde. Weekends there was a full band in lobby bar playing beautiful salsa music and local couples dancing---wonderful to see. So much easier to get to than other Caribbean islands we've been to, but from now on we'll only come back to PR!

Short walk from hotel
Walk to Walgreen's and Public supermarket and buy beer in cans, wine, soda, snacks, cheese, fruits, styrofoam cooler. The beach in front of hotel is public, and lots of hotel guests take their own beer out there.

Great economic location
Landed early in the morning and greeted very warmly and accomodated right away. Staff was awesome and friendly and went out of there way to accomodate. Amenities were perfect pool a little old but open 24/7 with swim up bar and pool service with beach 10 ft away.... This is the last hotel on the beach so you don't have another building on one side of you. Rockin salsa bar in lobby and great little snack bar as well.... Gift shop meiocre beach sports are all within walking distance for rent and a casino to top it off..... overall great lil place....

An Pleasant Experience
Very close to the airport we werent affected by the sound. The room was OK Highlights are the Grounds and the Beach. Close proximity to San Juan less than 15 mins to Old San Juan.

Short drive from hotel
My best tip: If you plan on enjoying the attractions dont purchase the tour just get a rental car it will save a bundle! The city is easy to navigate and most people speak english. Also eat locally Hotel restaurants are incredibly overpriced!

Free upgrade!
After working all night at the hospital, me and my 5 year old caught a flight the first thing in the morning to Puerto Rico with a connection through Charlotte. By the time we got to the hotel, I was exhausted!! We got to the hotel only to have them tell us that the partial ocean view room that we reserved wasn't ready yet and that we'd have to wait for it to be cleaned. After waiting for about a minute, the lady called us back and told us she upgraded our room to the full ocean view and it was ready & waiting! The room was absolutely beautiful! We had the best view!! ;0)

Great location
Our stay was fantastic, good gym, good location, walking distance to restaurants and live latin band Thursday thru Sunday. If you enjoy Salsa music this is the place to stay. Beach and pool very clean. Would definitely stay at the Marriott Courtyard again...

Famillytrip
This hotel is very nice to go as single or familly or with group of firends because has it all. Great pool area for kids and a nice bar inside the pool, the beach is right behind the pool area 2 seconds walking, nightlife is amaicing with live salsa and merengue music. I dont gamble but the casino was very nice. The room was clean and neat confortable and the view to the ocean and the pool to the side was great. Room service was not that efficient but overall I like it very much my beautifull girl loved it and I am planning to visit them again very soon.

restorant in or out were good but out very near the hotel theres a lot of places to go to eat have a drink or to dance if is the case...the road is call green island...very nice!

Great Value
I had a great experience in this hotel. The staff was friendly. All the rooms have a balcony, the higher the floor the better the view. We arrived early and they were kind enough to check us in. We appreciated the complimentary free drink. Nice beach and pool. In the evenings the lobby is very lively with a live band. This hotel is in a good location. It's closed to the airport and to the different San Juan attractions. Great Value!
