Coral by the Sea Hotel

This hotel was old, falling apart, holes in the walls, chipped paint, roaches, odorous elevator, cheap locks on doors, and just an all around bad experience. My husband and I had to disinfect and exterminate before being able to stay in the room. We slept with our clothes on. Our request for a ferund was denied but the offer to exchange the room proved to be a further disappointment as the alterantive room was in worst condition. We say run for the hills, stay at your own risk. The on-line pictures are extremely misleading, it may have looked like that 20 years ago

We needed to stay one more day when my timeshare week expired. Coral by the Sea was in walking distance from the ESJ Towers. It didn't have a lot of extras, such as an iron or hair dryer but it was very clean. Nice flat screen TV and it was close to the beach, restaurants, and casinos. The staff was very nice. Check in was for 3PM and we arrived at 11:30 AM and she let us have a room. The air conditioner was very good but we didn't have a blanket on the bed just a sheet for a cover. It was only $68.00 compared to everything was $111.00 and up. It served our purpose for the one night.

The place is a perfected center place in Isla Verde, however, if you are stay more than one night you are there because you can not affort something more expense, but it needs more need things, especially in the bath room too small your partners has to pass you with their behing in your face if you are doing something especial, nevertheless, it was ideal for the beach proxima, and the free parking!, great restaurant connected to a great Ice Cream place also, have the mango and passion Ice cream is to kill for !

The reception staff were nice and changed my 1st room after the 1st day. The 1st room had no phone, so I could not contact that group I was with (in another hotel). Also there was no place to hang up clothes, even really really short tops. The 2nd room was on the 5th floor, and the elevator door would not close easily. It was quicker to use the stairs. I could hang up jackets and shirts, I had a phone & tv, and shelves in the bathroom. My room was only cleaned 2 days out of the 6 days in the 2nd room. I was gone at least 6 hrs each day, and often said goodbye to the maids as I left and put the clean room sign out. I kept my used towels in a drying position on the shower rail. Last day I put my trash outside, and that was the 2nd time the room was cleaned & bed made. Music blaring right outside on Sat night until 2:30pm, as part of the hotel's food Sat night patio deal. Even ear plugs didn't kill the constant boom-boom. All the receptionists were very nice and had fluent English. Would have been ok for $40 or $50 a night. Place WAS clean, except for my room.

The staff attention and professionalism was great! They attended to my requests with flair. The price was great for what I was looking for - just a place to sleep while I visited a sick relative. Room accommodations were clean but bland (for example the air conditioner controls did not work - it was stuck on one setting, which was decent for Puerto Rico but only because it was January.) While tiny ants are common in San Juan, they should not share the room with the guests.

We only needed a place to stay for one night before leaving on a cruise. We were looking for someplace relatively inexpensive and convenient to either the airport or the pier. Coral by the Sea filled these requirements. The room was clean but spartan. There was a good TV and free wireless internet which was important to us. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions patiently and politely. Once we got our bearings, there were a number of eating venues within walking distance. I would not recommend this hotel for a long stay, but for a short stay before moving on, it met our needs.

the location was great there were not very many amenities hot water was sometimes a problem but could be solved with the help of the staff, the food was good the hotel staff was very helpful.

Is the cheapest hotel in the area and the lowest quality also. The room was clean but look outdated with a new tv. Two person don`t fit at the same time on the shower. But is the cheapest and if you are thinking in just pass the night on it and not looking for too much commodities it`s ok.
