Coral Princess Hotel

It's not 5 star resort, but if a clean place to stay in a great location that won't break the bank is what you seek: look no further! Breakfast is decent (eggs, croissants, waffles, fruit, etc) with an awesome coffee/espresso/cappuccino maker available 24 hours. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach and some great restaurants. 24 hour front desk too! Clothing dryer worked on and off so don't count on it in a pinch. In short: I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would gladly stay there again!

Great location two blocks from the beach with a very attentive, helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The walls are thin but the place was generally quiet while we were there. We'd go back.

The rooms were quiet, clean, and cool. The staff was amazing. We had our 3 year old son with us, and he had a great time interacting with the staff. He actually cried that we were leaving. They recommended activities that were perfect, they were prompt and courteous when we asked for additional towels, and we never had a single problem. The area where the hotel was located was close to dining, beaches, bus lines, and souvenir shops. The price was very reasonable. We had a great time! We can't wait to go back.

My 4-star rating for the Coral Princess Hotel is based on the fact that it perfectly met my needs. I was traveling with my girlfriend and we wanted something personal (boutique-ish, as opposed to an impersonal high-rise) and also a bit cheaper than what similar hotels go for in Old San Juan. I would give this hotel 5 stars for the experience that I personally had; however, I had to give it 4 stars because we noticed that some of the other rooms were a good bit smaller than the one we got (we got lucky and had a huge two-bedroom room!). The hotel is 1 block from the main strip in Condado, San Juan, and is 2 blocks from Condado's beach. Everything in Condado is walkable from the hotel (tons of restaurants, bars, beaches, hotels, casinos, etc. - everything). Of utmost convenience is the Walgreen's just around the corner (2-minute walk) - it has everything a traveler could need. Old San Juan is also walkable if you're willing and able to take a good stroll - it takes about 30-40 minutes to get all the way to downtown Old San Juan, but it's a beautiful and rewarding walk, especially if you cross over the inlet and walk along Old San Juan's north shore to get to the downtown area - this walk overlooks the ocean and offers dramatic views of the coastline. On the days we spent in Old San Juan, we found ourselves walking to Old San Juan and then cabbing it back to Condado at the end of the day (the 10-minute cab ride is a fixed rate of $15 - not bad). We had rented a car and the hotel has 4 parking spots. Out of our 6-night stay, we had one of these spots on 4 nights, and otherwise we found spots directly across the street - thus, parking cost us nothing; however, if necessary, there is a parking lot just down the street that costs $13 per night, which isn't too bad either. The hotel has a rooftop jacuzzi which is great. The staff are great people who know the area well and are pleased to help you with any questions you need answered or recommendations you seek. I simply can't say enough for how perfect this hotel fit our needs. Thank you so much, Coral Princess Hotel! 'Til we meet again!

great hotel. great experience. clean, good breakfast, and amazing staff. the jacuzzi on the rooftop was great too and great ambiance all over the hotel. will definatley recommend to my friends and would come back again. great location middle of all restaurants and beach.

This hotel is convenient to down town San Juan. We took the bus. It was very clean and staff were helpful with anything we asked for. One drawback, coffee was too small. We would stay again if visiting San Juan.

The hotel has a great location (although we did not care for the beach in the area and found better ones elsewhere, like Seven Seas and Loquillo). Small and basic room. The A/C would cause our allergies to act up because it was dusty, so we had to keep it off and then the room was often very hot (which didn't lead to the best sleep). Hub caps from our rental car was stolen on the side street parking right in front of the hotel. Best to pay for secured parking. Wonderful breakfast. Great staff.

The hotel does not look like much from the street but the charm starts when you enter. The 1st and 3rd floors are filled with plants, potted trees and sitting areas. There is even a reading room on the 1st floor. The 3rd floor has a sun deck, hot tub and large living room and pool table, along with bathrooms with showers that can be used after check out. The rooms are modern and comfortable though some look out on a street that can be noisy especially on the weekend. It is a small intimate boutique hotel. When making reservations specify that you want a quiet room off the street as it seems once your room has been assigned it cannot be changed. i was not able to get an alternate room when I asked though it turned out to be fine. Street noise did not continue after midnight. All in all I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to Coral Princess next visit

The location was good, the breakfast was good, the rooftop hot tub was nice, but the room smelled like mildew, and the floor was very dirty. Our wet footprints actually left mud on the bathroom floor after a shower!

Nice, clean hotel in Condado. Beautiful garden, rooftop terrace (with hot tub), friendly staff with nice breakfast included.
