We stayed here 7 nights. The hotel is nice and clean. We booked a package in advance and the price included complimentary breakfast for two. The hotel is around 15 minutes bus ride from the Old San Juan. There is a bus station very close and cost $ .75 .

Wonderful, but the food could use some work
This hotel is beautiful and the staff is warm and helpful. The decor throughout and in the rooms is beautifully modern without being sterile or sparse. The biggest negative is the hotel's restaurants. Apparently, each of the restaurants within is operated by a different company, and therefore are not supervised by hotel management as a whole, and it shows. Service can be spotty, and the food is mediocre at best. The worst was the Saturday morning breakfast I spent $30 on at Aqua, one of their main restaurants that services the entire pool area. 2 weak cups of coffee, 2 glasses of orange juice from concentrate (it's in the tropics! why aren't those fresh squeezed???), an oatmeal, fruit dish, and the capper... POWDERED EGG OMELETTE. You read that right: powdered eggs. (the irony of course being that there are Cock Fight establishments on the island and chickens roaming around free, and yet Aqua chose to pour something from a box.

For the REAL food... take the bus into Old San Juan. It's 75 cents, picks you up right outside the hotel, and takes about fifteen minutes. The restaurants in OSJ are PHENOMENAL!!!! Cafe Puerto Rico. Yum.

Winter Escape
Hotel location was ideal, within walking distance of Condado shopping and beaches. For those like us trying to minimize costs there was a bus stop just outside that took us to Old San Juan for 75 cents each way. Staff was pleasant and helpfull and room was comfortable, but setup was a little strange with a bathroom/closet combo.

Good Location
The hotel is in a good location, though not close enough to walk to Old San Juan, and offers good access to restaurants. I wouldn't want to go further down in Condado (to the Marriott or La Conch) because the traffic gets so much worse. We really enjoyed our lagoon view, and we made great use of the superbly-equipped gym. We found the pool on the lagoon side to be more private than the ones on the ocean side, though you do miss the ocean breeze there. My one complaint, as with so many resort hotels, is the ridiculous prices charged for food: we spent $40 (with tip) for a very average breakfast for two people.

Very nice for familly, couples or singles
Great location, very easy to get where ever you want to travel, felt very comfortable walking to local resturants. All in all a very nice stay, except for the unexpected EXTRA CHARGES that were not addressed up front. We would stay there again and recommend it to others.

holiday getaway with my family
Arriving at San Juan Condado Plaza i was speech less when i arrived at my room. The beds where real comfortable, bathroom is small but nice, no bathtub it's just a clear glass shower. Just one person fits in there. Pool was great, next to the pool there's a private area for the beach only hotel members can be at the area. Room service was great, food was so delicious. Can't complain the food at all. After all everything was beautiful. Only problem is that the hotel is the last one on the street to enter to the restaurants and stores you will need to walk a little, it's not pretty far but for little kids they will be tired to walk.

Very close to many restaurants, shops, and the metropolitan area overall. Easy to get around even without a car. Pretty, colorful lobby. Fish tank needs some work. Elevators are very slow. Staff service could be very much improved.

Garden View = Facing concrete wall! Creepy Crawlers...
Overbooked, loud and the view was terrible! Our room was located in the building across the street from the main hotel facing rooftops and concrete walls. We did not feel safe. Our request to change rooms went unanswered. We saw a few creepy crawlers... If you stay at the Conrad make sure you stay in the main building!! Parking is an addional $15 per day.
