Cozy San Juan hotel with second-story terrace near Condado Beach
The minimalist Casa Condado Hotel features fun accents in common spaces, such as faux animal skin rugs in the laid-back lounge. Know what to expect
If you are looking for a cheap room in a good location, and you have no balance issues, this is a great place to stay. The official website for the actual place states very clearly that it is a hostel, and they are correct. The room was small, but clean. The location was good, but noisy at night. Continental breakfast in the morning was adequate. To update on some comments I read before going to PR: I did not notice any construction (I'm assuming it is complete), there are signs warning that the floors are slick when it rains because common areas are open (hence you need okay balance), there are no elevators or any signs that there ever will be, and the TV is in fact tiny (only matters if you plan on watching TV while in PR). Something that I noticed throughout PR is that you have to ask for help from the front desk. I could see where some people might think the service is not good because they do not GIVE you a lot of advice (i.e. there is no book of things to do in the room, no bus routes are posted, etc), but they are happy to help if you ask. Example: I had no clue a password was need to access the wifi. I went down to the front desk, asked for the code, and it was gladly given to me.

To go to old San Juan from Condado, I found it faster to pay $2 to take a taxi rather than wait the 45min for the bus.

The hotel is clean , quiet and close to the beach and the room is very small. It does'nt have telephone in each room, no chair and no table, . You have to pay $15.00 each day for parking.

Great value
The Casa Condado is not a luxury hotel and doesnt claim to be one. The rooms are spartan, the beds are small and there is no lift. However!! The location is fantastic, the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean & well maintained. If all you are looking for is a place to sleep in while you explore Puerto Rico by day, then this is perfect for you.

Incredible bargin for the location
This hotel is perfect if you are on a budget but want to stay in a decent hotel with a great location. The hotel has no frills or thrills but provided a nice clean room and a location close to the beach, shopping and excellent selection of restaurants. We had a good time in Puerto Rico and would stay at this hotel again.

Short drive from hotel
If you want to explore Old San Juan, take the bus (#21). Bus stop going is 2 blocks (Ashford Ave) away and coming back the bus drops you 1 block away from the hotel. It costs .75 cents versus paying $14 to a taxi. You get a good view of Puerto Rico and an opportunity to met local people.

Cousy- modern. Walk distance to beach
The location was great, restaurant, shops and walk distance to the beach. At the beach you can rent a long beach chair for 3 dollars all day.

Quite a Disappointment
I decided to book this hotel because the picture of the room looked nice and cozy, they served a continental breakfast and it was at a good price. BIG MISTAKE!! My first upset was the fact that I was on the third floor and there was no elevator. Once I got to my room and opened the door I realized just how small the room really was. Then I had to go all the way back downstairs to the front desk to get toilet paper because there wasn't any in the room. I was really exhausted so I decided to take a shower but when I opened the shower curtain I saw HAIR on the wall. I wanted to get some ice but since there were no ice machines I had to go downstairs, AGAIN, and ask for some ice at the front desk. Definately first and last stay.

Minimulistic
The staff were very nice. However, there is no elevator which I found very odd. The room also has no drawers for clothes and the bathroom has no counter of any kind which makes it very difficult for us women and our hair/face products. The room was very warm when I checked in and there were lots of mosquito's in the room and I couldn't get anyone to spray it. There was also no computer to use.

great price and location
Great location. Close to beach, drug store, restaurants, beverage/food store and bus line. The continental breakfast was good. The wifi service was excellent as was the cable flat screen TV. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great hotel!
We were worried when the cabbie did not recognize the hotel name but it was wonderful. The staff was very pleasant, super clean, really nice outdoor sitting area with a balcony on the street. Only 3 blocks from the ocean which was awesome. We stayed just one night before boarding our cruise.

Enjoyable Hotel
It was an enjoyable hotel. Very friendly staff! This hotel doesn't offer alot of amenities but for a few days it was very nice. If you have alot of luggage I wouldn't recommend because of no elevator! The beds were very comfortable.
