Wyndham Garden at Palmas del Mar

First the hotel was under renovation> I was never informed by [...] the Sheraton. The room (332)was full of ants and no ice available in the building. It took the staff three days to to tell the the ice machine was not plug in due to remodeling. They moved me to another room (120) which might as well served as the swimming pool. The room leaked water from the ceiling and patio door. when you turned on the shower it made a horrendous vibrating noise. No follow through or initiative from staff. I was finally moved to room 125 for the duration. On most the the stay it would be around 16 when housekeeping finally cleans the room. I was ready to return home at this point> The stay was non refundable. I was held hostage for three days by Sheraton [...]. Will NEVER use or reccomend Four Points at Sheraton [...].

All in all the hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. Did have a problem with the toilet in my room sometimes it would not flush properly but maintenace responded to the problem. The restaurant there the food was overpriced for the quality of the food not impressed. The location couldn't have been any better right near the beach.

This was a family trip and we were looking for a nice beachfront property for the kids. The beach was not really good, so we went to the pool and had a great time there. Eating was a challenge since the only restaurant on site opened from 6:00PM to 10:00PM and had a very limited menu. Other options were too far away to walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very noisy due to people walking and talking down the hall up to the wee hours of the morning.

This was my third stay at Palmas and every time I go I enjoy it more. This trip was even better it was only me and my husband and we had a wonderful time. I love it so much you will see me there again soon.

no ocell phone receiption in the room, no wifi in the room but internet access through cable conection.

We walked along the beach not many restaurant choices that are close. This is a very large complex and hard to find without a GPS.

Palmas is a large gated residential and resort community with golfing, beach, and a variety of restaurants. The Sheraton is showing it's age and a lack of maintenance. We looked in several rooms: carpets were stained; furniture was well worn; room AC units appeared to be on their last legs (indicated by abundant mildew on ceilings and wet spots on floors). House keeping staff was pleasant but largely inattentive (two towels one day, four the next, three the day after and one day with no room cleaning at all). All this was for a room that was largely a similar cost as those found in similar resorts up near San Juan. On the up-side, most everyone was friendly and Palmas seems to continue to be a pretty secure place to walk around in. I probably won't be back unless it was work.

Hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Definetly will recommend and/or return.

It was a good stay, some of the rooms are very humid. The service is slow for American standards but inkeeping with PR. I would stay there again.

Beautiful, clean, excellent customer service. Amazing beach, clean swimming pool, very helpful stuff. But if you are going with friends, as we did- choose something else. SO boring and no place to go. Food is very expensive. There is just one coffee shop and one restaurant, and they charge you $2.50 for one banana ( I am not kidding), imagine how expensive everything else is. Anyway, we had fun. I liked it very much.
