This historical building, was constructed in 1929. As part of Guanica history, this Sapnish architecture facilities was orginally called the American Hotel. Located on the shores of Ensenada Bay, you will be taken back in time and take home a unique, unforgetable and memorable experiences. The hotel was restored to its original condition and its 27 rooms are exquisitely decorated, with air conditioner, satellite tv, phone, and private bathrooms with amenities. Parador Guanica 1929 is the first School Hotel of Puerto Rico.

After a long day sight seeing in the central region of Puerto Rico, this stop was perfect as it is a quiet place with a focus on relaxation. The staff was very accomodating and friendly.

Short drive from hotel
We stayed here because we wanted to spend the next day at Gilligan's Island. It was a good decision since the hotel is only 10 minutes from the boating dock.
