Girls Week at Las Casitas
We were three friends off for a relaxing and sun filled week. The distance between the main resort and our casita was a surprise. We were to have butler service but we never saw one, we found out on the day we left (day 7) that our butler took us
via golf cart to the main resort to get our shuttle back to the airport. Communication from the front desk was poor and there really was no introduction to the whole resort..we had to find our way. We finally found a pool two villas down from ours on the 5th day. The views were wonderful but for the price, we envisioned easier access to the facilities. The one restaraunt that was recommended to us from the concierge was mediocre at best and was a $50 cab ride roundtrip. It was like going to a Ponderosa. The restaraunt highlight was Richie's Cafe in Luqillo on a mountaintop overlooking the Caribbean. However, the only reason we were there is that my girlfried knew the owner. Definitely would recommend this one..they will pick you up.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Take the tram to the Marina and walk left out of the parking lots along the beach. There are a number of local restaraunts on the left side of the little park. Very good local food, a bit light on ambience, but the food is excellent and cheap.
