Golden Sands Villas

Needs to clean air system. New showel curtains. New cooffe pot. Looby needs to be clean, glass windows and doors. Parking entrance looks like a construction site. Dirty,nasty. Hotel sorrounds needs to be clean. I'm sory but this is what I feel. My wife says that the pool area was outstanding.

Stayed here March 2011 for four nights. Was a little nervous after reading the reviews, so I hope this review will help you out. To begin the hotel is a little confusing to find but as long as you can make it to the Embassy Suites you will find the aquarius front desk, just follow the signs. We had a studio suite, and the view from our balcony was just simply breathtaking, right above the pool, and looking out at the Atlantic Ocean. Room was in OK shape, beds were sagging, and carpet was stained, but we are not to pickie so as long as the room was clean we didn't care, which it was. Dining options at the hotel were just OK, the Bar at the pool was just standard, over priced drinks, but the food was OK. The resturant in the Embassy Suites was good, and the quality was fine, but the options were limited. The new Japanese resturant arcoss the parking lot was probably the biggest let down, over priced, small portions, and the staff was not the best. For your best dining go into town plenty to choose from, and the prices are much better. The pools and the grounds were great, always clean, and plenty of room for all. The beach was good, but not great, a little to much seaweed and the beach needed a good cleaning, but all in all it was still good. Over all very happy with the hotel for the price it was great, just dont expect five star. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

This was a last min trip. the location was a little hidden but the price for the stay was worth it. The location the area is beautiful, the service could have been better but it was okay.

Nice hotel that shares amenities with Embassy suites. Nice staff, helpful. I called about a broken coffeemaker and they showed up with a replacement quickly. Away from the busy San Juan crowd , yet a comfortable drive for day trips. Great pools and beach for children. Our two and four year old loved it. Dorado was a nice quaint town with cute plaza. A bunch of restuarants within short drive (10 min). I would recommend. Don't be discouraged by negative reviews. We had a blast during our week's stay.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem is, it is that very far from the Airport, and the heavy traffic (that is always there,it takes forever to get to Golden Sands Villa). Another thing that I didn't like is that Golden Sands Villas share their hotel with the Embassy Suites hotel , which is another hotel that is located on the same premises as Golden Sands, so it was always very crowded and noisy, especially on the weekends. Another thing that I didn't like is a small beach. Although, the beach was very picturesque and very beautiful, I felt that I was in paradise by looking on it from my balcony.

I wanted to write to tell you I was slightly disappointed on my hotel room. The room was not as it was displayed in the ad. The picture led me to believe I would get a room with a full kitchen (stove and full refrigerator) Apparently a "studio" room did not come with a stove and the fridge was so small for our usage. The Hotel was not able to change our room because that is what we booked. Also 3 days the room was left open by the maid, literally the door was open. we called each time to complain, and the security did come up to see if anything was stolen, nothing was. Apparently there was something wrong with the door latch preventing the door from closing unless we slammed it (which the maid did not do) and the maintenance department had to come up 3 times to fix the door. The Hotel itself was nice and OK, but the beach was a mess, with garbage on it, apparently noone ever cleans the beach area, we stayed in the pool after walking through a garbagefilled beach. I was glad to have a car because one night the fire alarm went off and the hotel was not able to get the alarm to go off in our room for a long time, so we left for a drive. In all, the trip was wonderful and I'm glad to use [...], but the few glitches will make me search longer for the next trip. Thank you.

My experience in the Golden Sands Villas in Dorado was excellent. The pool area is fantastic and is really relaxing. The hotel staff were very nice and the hotel cleaning was excellent. I really recommend this hotel.

Swim at the pool also in the beach,dinning around, very good sea food restaurant, five minutes from the hotel etc. yes, I would like my breakfast included in my atay. worst than my other, I haved stayed at Embassy and my stay was more complete.

I didn't particulary care much for the hotel it self, room wise, but the pool area and location was good.

There something missing things in the kitchen and I need call the front desk in Six time
