Relaxation supreme
The pool is nice with a bar and place to get lunch. There was no loud music playing so you could sit and read by the pool or beach and listen to the waves. The beach was very nice. No rocks or seashells to watch for. You can walk a long way on the beach. The water is nice and calm - not like San Juan. The open courtyard between the "lobby" and pool is nice with beautiful flowers. The room was nice and clean.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
We had a good meal at Rincon Tropical. McDonald's is a short drive and some bakeries too. You MUST go to the lighthouse to see all the surfers in Rincon. Stop at Calypso for a drink while watching all the surfers coming and going. Great sunset down at the beach too.

average stay
As far as ocean view that we booked , we did not get due to the over grown trees. No coffe maker in the room, very small fridge, and only two small pillows for a queen bed. the photos on their web site are desieving and should be updated. the beach was ok but could have been cleaner, some trash around the sand.If the hotel calls itself a resort they should have higher standerds. the only thing my wife and I enjoyed their was the weather.

Honeymoon night out
Rincon beach resort was a great fun place we stayed at but it was for a night(sleepover) and wished we stayed longer to enjoy what the resort had to offer to guests. We came in very late to check in and had a 9am morning check out. Place is great, beach view is wonderful, gave an upgrade to beach view but the trees blocked out view from top floor. Room was wonderful, very clean, aesthetic and with lots of privacy. Will recommend this place highly to get away from the hustle bustle of San Juan , traffic to nestle in peace.

Beautiful place
Beautiful pool, swim up bar, very attractive hotel overall. The WiFi costs 9.99 which I find annoying when lessor hotels offer it free, but I guess that's just the way it is. I also like to have a fridge and coffee maker in the room.

Good
love the location, very private. The beach is not the best one but is not the worse. The pool is very nice and the service was great. The rooms can definitely be better, kind of over priced if you judge just the room. Overall it was good! Would definitely go again.

Ruined my vacations
Fragment of letter sent to hotel's management. Check out after 30 mns of arrival (Oct 4, 2011): I am compelled to let you know how deeply disappointed I am with the service received yesterday during my check in process at your Sterling Hotels, Rincon Beach Resort in Añasco, Puerto Rico. When my husband and I arrived, under pouring rain, I made my way to the front desk and met with Luis. He greeted me fairly well and proceeded to ask for my credit card and ID. When he gave me the room keys, he told me that I was being moved to a “superior” room with no extra charge because the part of the hotel with the Deluxe rooms would not have electricity in case there was a power failure in the facilities. It seemed quite odd to me because of the location of the rooms, but I accepted and went to the assigned room, number 256. It’s important to clarify that I wasn’t offered help with the luggage, even though it was pouring rain; I only got a small umbrella from your employee. When we got to the room, we found two beds and the air had a humidity odor. The headboards had mildew stains on them and the view from the balcony was a little bit of ocean, a bunch of roof tops and a little pool. Not even near to the view stated by the Hotel’s webpage for the Deluxe room. I called the front desk and told the employee that when I made my reservations through Orbitz, I called the Hotel’s reservations office and asked for a one-bed room. He told me that he would call me back as soon as he finished up with another guest, and he did. When we spoke, he told me to go back and get new keys, so I sent my husband down with the borrowed umbrella. Meanwhile, I called the front desk again and asked the employee if they had electricity problems often, to which he answered no. I told him that if that was the case, I preferred the room that I had reserved because I paid extra for a view that I did not have. He told me that if they checked me in those rooms and the power was to fail, I’d have to be moved anyway. He then added that I hadn’t even seen the new room that he had assigned me. I insisted, and he told me that he would have to check if there were Deluxe rooms still available. Needless to say, I was very upset at this, but waited for my husband and went up to the second room, number 454, in the same building. When we entered the room, it was exactly the same as the first one, except for the bed, so we decided it was time to check out. We made our way back to the Hotel’s receiving area, still under the rain, but now with no umbrella because my husband had returned it. I went to the front desk while my husband went to the car. At the front desk, I found another employee and told him that I wanted to check out because of the horrible service I had received. Even though he was diplomatic and did what I asked, he never apologized or tried to retain me as a customer. He just gave me the property’s general manager business card and told me that I could call him and let him know the troubles I had. I am appalled at how your employee tried to insult my intelligence by sending me to an inferior room when I had paid extra to have a Deluxe room. I don’t know if this is a standard operating procedure with residents of the island, which I really hope isn’t, but I most certainly feel insulted and, furthermore, very upset that my vacations and birthday plans were ruined.

Good family Getaway
We stayed there to visit a sick family member and the location was perfect. The view, beach and pool were beautiful. Unfortunately, on the first night there we found a dirty bikini underwear on the side of our mattress. We understand mistakes happen but it was very disgusting and we were not compensated in any way for our inconvenience.
