overall ok
The resort was beautiful and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was huge with a kitchen and living room separate. They had problems with power several times and the back up generators were not working for a few hours. they also had some ants in the kitchen. It's a bit of a ride for most activities like snorkling, surfing, etc. but the front desk can get you anything you need including cab rides.

Total Dissapointment!
The staff was not friendly! They made us feel as though we owed them. However, the maintenance crew were very friendly. Upon arrival the toilet was clogged. There was a huge amount of very tiny bugs (looked like ants) in the bathroom. Very poor amenities. No coffee machine, no microwave and the samll fridge didn't have a temperature control knob and so it keep our soft drinks just slightly cool. A camera crew was there filming and spotted their light on us while we were by the pool having a romatic evening. Bad!!! Meals super expensive!

5 Year Annivesary Getaway
The hotel and surroundings are simply beautiful. Lots of things to do close by; enjoyed horseback riding which was breathtaking! I would definitely recommend front desk reception take a customer service training. Very cold, no warm welcome, no information provided upon arrival. We had trouble in our room with air conditioning (rare noise), balcony door lock broken, problems with bathroom. Nevertheless, we had a nice time.

Romantic Birthday present
I bought this trip as a present to my bf for his birthday, and lets just say he was not disappointed. The hotel was beautiful, the perfect place to relax. Im more of a pool person, while he loves the ocean, this hotel was the perfect combo for the two of us. The staff was super friendly and helpfull, the view was gorgeous, the room was spacious, and the food was tastey. The only complaint we had was the noise. For waterver reason we felt like we could hear everything from inside of our room, especially in the morning. Our room was by the elevator so it was a high traffic area, we like to sleep in on vacation so all the early birds would wake us up, but if u plan on getting up early this shouldnt be a problem. All in all it was an amazing experience, we are already planning our return.

Lighthouse Park fine viewing for sunsets. Most restaurants are casual and caribbean type. the resort offer good dining. A casual place we enjoyed was the "Black Eagle" in the Marina on the way to the lighthouse. Plenty to do.

Underwhelmed
We recently spent several nights at the Rincon Beach Resort and were underwhelmed with the experience. This review will start with the things the resort does less successfully and will end with a few high notes. Although the grounds are well-maintained, the resort itself needs a thorough makeover. Our room and the common grounds were clean enough, but management appears to be neglecting routine maintenance. Paint is chipping in some places, railings are rusting, the beach furniture appears to be cleaned only sporadically. Yes, these are little things, but taken together they impact the impression we have of the place. The hotel restaurant is poor. We highly suggest avoiding the tuna tartare, although that was just the low point in a highly forgettable meal. It would be better to avoid the restaurant entirely. Fortunately, there are several good restaurants within a 20 minute drive, so not eating at the restaurant is minimally inconvenient. There is an empanada place (Kaplash) just up the road that is a nice place to stop for a snack and there are more serious food options in Rincon itself. The quality of the hotel staff is variable. Many are very friendly and helpful. Others are not. In general, the folks at the front desk seem more concerned with the telephone than with the guests standing in front of them. On the positive side, the hotel has a very nice private beach (which would be nicer if staff would clean the chairs on a daily basis). The grounds of the hotel were well maintained and the bar serves very nice frozen drinks. Note that the prices on the menu are different (lower) than the prices that you are charged. The difference isn't much, but it's irritating nonetheless.
