The Vila Galé Albacora Hotel grew out of the renovation of a typical, old tuna fish market. Thanks to its origins, the Albacora hotel has unique architectural and cultural features set right in the middle of the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, in the Algarve.

- Coming from the Airport: Leave the airport on the road signposted Portimão/Lisboa. Next, turn onto the IP1/A22 (Via do Infante), heading towards Vila Real de Santo António/Espanha. You should leave the IP1/A22 (Via do Infante) on the exit marked Tavira. At the first roundabout, continue towards Tavira. At the second roundabout take the turning to Vila Real de Santo António/Campos de Golfe. At the third roundabout, turn right and from there follow the signs to the Hotels. Coming from the A2: Continue to the end of the motorway, then take the IP1/A22 (Via do Infante), heading towards Vila Real de Santo António/Espanha. You should leave the IP1/A22 (Via do Infante) on the exit marked Tavira. At the first roundabout, continue towards Tavira. At the second roundabout take the turning to Vila Real de Santo António/Campos de Golfe. At the third roundabout, turn right and from there the road is signposted to the Hotels.

travel back in time but not for beach lovers
outstanding!!!!! quiet,clean,1st class service. A wonderful getaway from busy life with intertainment at weekends. Have been twice and would definately go again. Very safe for children but only basic facilities for them. Much more of an adult retreat. I feel peaceful thinking about there. Site photos are very exact.
