We arrived on a Sunday afternoon
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the area around the hotel looked strangely deserted and run down; we were quite worried we had chosen poorly. How wrong we were. The hotel is is a very quiet neighbourhood right near the city centre; we walked there through mostly shopping strip in two minutes. The interior of the hotel and the facilities were excellent. Only hesitation was the strange bacon on the breakfast buffet.

Great location, friendly staff, rooms OK
The rooms were very basic, couldn't open bathroom door without hitting the sink. But the staff was great as was the location. Just an easy walk down the leafy bouldvard to the center of town, so it was a great value.

A really excellent hotel - with
A really excellent hotel - with excellent staff. Within comfortable walking distance from all you need to see in Porto. The hotel is also located near many superb restaurants. One blot was that we couldn't stay at the hotel on the first night because of a mix up with the hotel computer system. However, the hotel put us up in a 5 Star hotel with breakfast and placed a bottle of champagne in our room the following night to make up for everything. One of the reasons I enjoyed Portugal and Porto so much was this hotel!

Friendly and helpful reception
Friendly and helpful reception staff. The cleaning staff did a good job of tyding and cleaning the room. The Hotel was modern and located in a convenient and quite location. The room was very comfortable for the two of us. We did not choose to have breakfast.
