Opposite the PORTO WINE CELLARS . The Douro River is one of the most important, unimaginable visites in the town of Porto. This involves the overall renovation of 5 catalogued buildings converted into a superior 4 star hotel with 90 rooms, overlooking the Duero River itself, with a restaurant for 100 guests and 5 meeting rooms with a total maximum capacity for 300. The hotel also has a gymnasium and a fitness area.

We stayed at t his hotel for 2 nights, it was pretty good. The hotel is clean, great location near the water but far enough from all the tourist. Taxis are easy to get. Staff is friendly, recommended some great restaurants- some pricey some average
This hotel is located in the center of Porto, close to the water and many beautiful monuments, museums, and restaurants. It's new, and the staff is friendly. The hotel has a small gym, minimally adequate except lacking a scale, and a restaurant
that we didn't try. The rooms are nice, but tiny, and the tv was oddly placed in the corner of the wall, so it was difficult to watch. Also, like many European hotels, this hotel fails to offer complimentary coffee. Overall, a wonderful stay, and definitely worth the price, particularly for the location, but think three-star hotel, not four.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
About a five minute walk from the hotel is a cozy, reasonably priced restaurant called, not disingenously, Grade A restaurant. The food was awesome (we had grilled calimari and a local tripe stew), the wine plentiful, and the egg coconut custard dessert literally the most wonderful dessert I've had in memory.
