There is a Naval Club which is owned and run by the Boca do Rio Resort. It offers a unique opportunity for one to enjoy hours of fun on the historic river Arade. The exclusive catamaran 'water taxi' is moored here, to take guests to Portimao and the local beaches. In addition, there are canoes and kayaks yachts and motor cruisers for hire. The adjoining Health Club boasts a heated indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna and steam room. If you like water you will love the Naval Club! Recommended. Good value for money. DDS 07/08 Very beautiful looking complex, spacious, surrounded by plants and palm trees. Located close to the mouth of the river, once an important centre for processing and canning fish. Even today the village retains its character and charm, and it is here, on the river bank, that Boca do Rio Resort offers all the luxury and comfort of today whilst recognising and respecting the traditions of the past.
