This ever charming Residencial also offers a small pool, a TV bar with major news and sports channels, laptops for hire with wireless internet access, and a small "wellness" centre offering aromatherapy massages and reflexology. (DDS 10/08) This is a modern building constructed with typical Portuguese architecture Located in an elevated position with lovely views overlooking the Bay of Funchal. Excellent value for money!

The staff were great! They gave us a very spacious accomodation at a cheap price. Although we were expected to leave by the lunch time on our final day, the staff allowed us to keep our room until our evening departure. AT NO EXTRA COST!

Try out the restaurants near the church in the centre of town. BUT be aware that the small local bars nearby may have cheap food prices but expensive beverages!!!!

Far exceeded our expectations!

We were offered the penthouse suite which is beautiful and has the most amazing views from the large balcony with both sun loungers and tables and chairs. You watch the sun rise over the fishing boats in the morning and the houses twinkling on the mountainside in the evening. The restaurant provided consistently delicious evening meals and adequate breakfasts. I had read that portions were small but found that they were filling, even for my adult sons, and we were offered more of what ever we wanted. The staff were pleasant, helpful and multilingual. At times they were very chatty and friendly. Wi-fi was free in the library if you had your own computer, or laptops were available for hire. There is a very good selection of 'Free From' food at the Continente supermarket at the top of the hill and very nice fresh food for normal diets just five minutes walk away. I would suggest getting a bus to the hotel with your luggage but once you are unencumbered it is perfectly possible to walk into town. It is steep but not too far if you are of average fitness. I would recommend this hotel.
